• Reproduce well in a variety of sizes
• Work on everything the client needs (website, letterhead, business card, etc)
• Have lasting appeal
• Fit the client’s budget (color-wise)
• If typographic – be easily readable at any size
• If symbolic – be easily interpreted by anyone
• Work in black and white AND / OR in color
