Day 1: Monday, October 17, Lima – Cusco Upon arrival in Lima, our local representative will meet you for the transfer from Callao pier to the airport for your flight to Cusco where you’ll enjoy a half-day city tour. You’ll see the centre of the Inca Empire, the Plaza de Armas, a cathedral built on the ruins of the Inca Palace. Next, see the old town with its magnificent restored colonial buildings. From there, travel to Sacsayhuaman. Found three kilometres above Cusco, Sacsayhuaman offers a fabulous view of the city. You will then stop in Tambo Machay, Kenko, and Puca Pucara. Day 2: Tuesday, October 18, Machu Picchu Tour Machu Picchu is one of the most popular archaeological sites in the world and the most visited attraction in Peru. The Citadel of Machu Picchu is renowned for its amazing ruins and its location on a mountain overlooking the mighty currents of the Urubamba River. The method used for the engineering and placement of the huge blocks of limestone remains a mystery today. In the afternoon return to Cusco.
