For personal use only ASX Announcement 31 October 2016 Pureprofile Annual General Meeting 2016 Chairman’s Address Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Annual General Meeting of Pureprofile Limited. I am advised that a quorum of members is present and therefore declare the meeting open. My name is Andrew Edwards and I am the Non-Executive Chairman of Pureprofile. Whilst relatively new to this role, I am not new to Pureprofile. I met Paul some 20 years ago when the Pureprofile concept was in its infancy. Paul and I had numerous meetings together and indeed we both worked together to secure Pureprofile’s first ever client – Australia Post. Paul and I have been in constant communication ever since. I would like to introduce my fellow Directors and Officers of the Company: Paul Chan, who is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director is seated to my left. Paul founded Pureprofile in 2000, based on his vision of a profile-centred approach to marketing, driven and informed by the individual. Paul is responsible for driving the Pureprofile vision and strategic direction, including the M&A strategy, and developing the Pureprofile platform and products. Geoff Nesbitt, the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director is seated to my left also. Geoff oversees all aspects of Pureprofile’s financial management and operations. Geoff has extensive experience in digital media across the Asia-Pacific, US and UK markets. Cliff Rosenberg, a Non Executive Director is seated to my right. Cliff is currently the Managing Director for LinkedIn South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and previously worked as Managing Director for Yahoo Australia and New Zealand. Finally, Nicola Betterridge, the company secretary, is also seated on my right. A representative of the company’s current Auditor, Melissa Alexander, is also present. I knew Fred for over 20 years and Fred was instrumental in supporting, guiding For personal use only and helping Paul drive the Pureprofile vision. Fred’s Pureprofile legacy lives on in the positive effect he has had on all of the directors and all the staff that knew him. He is greatly missed. The AGM is an opportunity for me to thank the Pureprofile team for the contributions they have made over the past year. Having IPO’ed the year before, this year was one of change and positive change. We needed everyone on the journey, focussed and motivated. They were and still are. The Pureprofile team remains one of our biggest assets and there’s now over 180 of them! This team has a constant focus on our Product and its continual accelerated development as well as growth, profitability and a strong emphasis on customer service. Our new platform technology features have enabled us to secure more than 100 new clients, without losing any existing clients. We now work with some of the world’s top brands and their agencies: Australia Post, Audi, Accenture, Telstra, Coles, ebay, P&G, News Corp, HSBC, to name a few. We increased spend with 90% of our top 20 Clients amounting to an additional $9 million in revenues and achieved record levels of contracted sales to be billed and recognised in FY2017. Our overall revenue grew 31% year-on-year. Our gross profit grew 41%. And our EBITDA was up 333%. We expanded our footprint and now have significant presence in the US and UK markets. Significantly, two of the world’s biggest media economies. We successfully took the Sparc acquisition and supported it, cross sold to it and enhanced its offering, with the effect of a year-on-year revenue increase in their business of $4.9 million and a gross profit margin increase by 10%. This acquisition continues to be very successful and the buyout has now been completed. We also acquired the ANZ business assets of Effective Measure which was added to the Pureprofile product offering and immediately enhanced the power of our concept. We also gained significant data intelligence in the process. Another great acquisition. We remain focussed on acquisitions but without compromise. We want companies that can enhance the Pureprofile product. Companies that we could run ourselves and companies that immediately add positive value to the Pureprofile company. One such company is Cohort, which is a technology-led lead generation company. Successful, good management, diverse client base, offices in Sydney, London and New York and above all total synergy with For personal use only Pureprofile. Paul will talk to you more about Cohort a bit later. As for the future, I believe that Paul’s vision and the Pureprofile offering will continue to enjoy exponential growth as the global economy understands more about the power of data and consumers continue to get more power in this data economy. Big Data will drive the economy but only when it has these individuals at its centre. This is Pureprofile’s sweet spot. We ask people questions and we know how they are feeling, we know what’s important to them, we know what they want and we reward them. They appreciate our interactions. We are a valuable partner not just to Consumers, but to Brands, to Publishers and to Agencies. We will continue to gain blue chip clients and we have further expanded into some of the biggest media economies in the world. With a compound annual growth rate of 16.6% and a first quarter ahead of expectations and a strategic roadmap to drive further revenue growth and a significant presence in the world’s major Media Markets, we remain confident and excited about where this company is going and the path it is on.
