When filling a weather balloon with gas you have to consider that the gas will expand greatly as it rises and the
pressure decreases. Let’s say you put about 10.0 moles of He gas into a balloon that can inflate to hold 5000.0L.
Currently, the balloon is not full because of the high pressure on the ground. What is the pressure when the
balloon rises to a point where the temperature is -10.0°C and the balloon has completely filled with the gas.
At 34.0°C the pressure inside a nitrogen filled tennis ball with a volume of 148 ml is 212kPa. How many grams of
nitrogen are in the tennis ball?

A volatile liquid is placed in a flask whose volume is 590.0 mL and allowed to boil until only the vapor fills the
flask at a temperature of 100.0°C and 736 mm Hg pressure. If the mass of the volatile liquid is 1.10 grams.
Calculate the formula weight of the gas.
