There was a boat (most likely a ship) that was being tossed around like a little toy from the breaking waves and the rough wind. The boat was filled with men, disciples and one Jesus. I've been on a few boats when a storm rolled through, and it's not my favorite place to be. ,Jesus was asleep down in the lower portion of that boat, probably sleeping quite well I might add. ,His nap time was interrupted though when his disciples came to him and basically asked him if he even cared that they might die. We don't have a lot of dialogue after this, but it does says he arose and went to the top of the ship and he just looked out and said, "Peace, be still" and the wind and waves ceased to be dangerous anymore. How often do we encounter our own storms in life, and maybe not even physically; times when we just don't think we can go one more step. You know Jesus is always with us. He goes where we go and he is ABLE to help us. Isn't that amazing? Don't wait until the storms of life bring you to your knees before you talk to the Lord. He is available to listen....today. God bless you for being with us today! Bro Taylor Gregory The Great Room – the largest room in the world is the room for improvement Cleaning day is this coming Saturday. Plans are now officially underway and we request your prayers for this effort. Please ask your neighbors to allow their children to come and as expected, we are looking for every member to be here. *********************** We all go through periods of discontent, but Paul tell us in Philippians 4:22 that he has learned in whatsoever state he is in, therewith to be content. Perhaps we, as God’s children, should be like Paul and like the little bird in the following: My Song to Sing He placed me in a little cage away from gardens fair; But I must sing the sweetest song because He placed me there. Not beat my wings against the gate if it’s my Maker’s will, But raise my voice to Heaven’s gate and sing the louder still.
