Strips are for bag, handles and binding 125’ of 3/16” or 7/32” in diameter COTTON clothesline, rated for 12 lbs. ((It can have a non‐cotton (synthetic) core as long as it is soft and flexible)) DO NOT USE POLY CLOTHESLINE Matching Cotton Thread – This project used a lot of thread! Before beginning, pre‐fill at least 3 bobbins. A 50 weight 2‐ply thread is perfect for this project. The sample was done with the Mettler piecing thread. 2 ½ spools were used Optional Lining and pockets: 1 yard of matching batik fabric Embellishments: Buttons to cover the end of the handles, or maybe something else! Have fun! Machine in good working order that has a good zigzag stitch. A free arm machine is also preferred, but not necessary Machine needles 90/14 or 100/16.
