We have had a very eventful week, starting with Saturday’s Run in Their Shoes event at CCS, which brought out a good number of families to participate. This event will help CCS folks who come up against hard times, medical crises, etc. What a blessing to have raised some support for those unfortunate times. Keep an eye out for those and continue to encourage your child to read for 20 minutes each night. I try to keep homework to a minimum so that this requirement is not too much of a burden for families. Next week’s science investigation requires supplies that I do not have— calcium chloride (a fish tank supply) and citric acid (a canning supply). If anyone might be able to help out with this material, it would benefit us all greatly! Hands on science is super fun! At the moment, the biggest gap I am noticing in math is our students’ multiplication facts. Please encourage them to practice these skills—from ones through twelves at least.
