Directions: Write 8 compound sentences on the front page, and 8 complex sentences on the back page. Use a
different vocabulary words and conjunctions in each sentence. Label everything: clauses, conjunctions, sentence
elements.
Front Page: Four sentences 1-4 (compound coordinating sentences)
1. Behind the number write the vocabulary word with a short definition. Follow by writing in parenthesis the root and the root
definition.
2. Below……..write a compound coordinating sentence using the vocabulary word correctly. Label and punctuation everything. Put
a square around the vocabulary word.
Example:
