CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS
ADEL PLANT PRODUCTS
GROUP I -
The following products can be cleaned with the proper dilution with “Moderate Strength”
cleaners such as Lime Solvent 101 or Sure Clean 600 or equal or EaCo Chem NMD 80 or
SOS 50. Please follow the Chemical Manufacturer’s recommended cleaning practices.
Cambridge, Parkridge, Red Desert, Red Sand, Red Hematite, Granite Red, Cranberry, Amherst, Lexington,
Straight Shade Reds (all Textures),Red Colonial Ironspot, Granite Red Colonial Ironspot, Cranberry Colonial
Ironspot, Redstone, Brookfield, Cabernet Burgundy, Smoked Tudor, Countryside, Yellowstone, Winter Rose,
(Savannah,Williamsburg or Charleston) Old Heritage, Autumn Blend, Red Frosty, Sunset Blend, Gold or Rutile
Blends, (Savannah, Williamsburg or Charleston) Tudor, Williamsburg Old Plantation, and (Savannah,
Williamsburg or Charleston) Cambridge, Parkridge Savannah, and Red Rock
.GROUP II -
The following products contain manganese dioxide and should not be cleaned with Muriatic
Acid Cleaners (Hydrochloric Acid) or the Moderate strength cleaners above. Special
Proprietary Cleaners such as Vanatrol or EaCo Chem NMD 80 in proper dilution are
recommended in accordance with the Chemical Manufacturer’s recommended cleaning
practices.
Mission Valley Colonial Ironspot, Cedar Valley Colonial Ironspot, Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley, Plum, Chelsea
Ironspot, Welsford Ironspot, Brownstone, Canterbury, Cinnamon Ironspot, Hearthside, Swiss Chalet, Royal
Burgundy, Bordeaux Burgundy, Mesaba, (Savannah,Williamsburg Or Charleston) Wellington, (Savannah,
Williamsburg or Charleston) Hampton, Black Sand, Mocha, Cordovan, Brown (all Textures), Earth Blend,
Frosty Brown, Buckskin, Burgundy Tudor, Charleston or Williamsburg Stratford, Charleston or Williamsburg
Bradford, Williamsburg Misty Creek, Williamsburg Westport, Williamsburg Sandhills Red, Williamsburg
Smoky Mountain, Williamsburg Stone Ridge, Williamsburg Wexford, , Williamsburg Cherry Creek, Regular or
Williamsburg Inca Gold, and Williamsburg Flint Hills. This includes other Colonial Ironspot versions of
already mentioned colors in Group II.
GROUP III - NO CLEANING is recommended on these products. These product colors are compatible
with regular mortar color and any cleaning solution will change the intended color.
Aztec White, Casablanca, Dover White, Pink Aztec, Antique White, and Savannah, Williamsburg or Charleston
Birchwood.
For brick blends please contact the selling agent but you are safe to use Group II recommendations..
Brick using colored mortar should follow Group II recommendations.

DISCLAIMERS
Improper Cleaning Procedures can produce undesirable and even harmful results on brick masonry. Sand
Blasting is not a recommended Cleaning Method. Also, the wrong cleaning chemicals or chemical
solutions can burn or stain masonry units and open mortar joints to water penetration causing premature
