Scope of Work:
a.
Provide Labor and material to install the associated electrical as described in the plan document and
specifications.
b.
Obtain State permit only (If required).
Furnish all labor as following for Electrical system in base bid:
Scope of work:
a. Provide labor, equipment and material to complete the electrical scope of work pursuant to the plans and
specifications.
b.
All work shall be performed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, the Uniform Building Code, the
Uniform Fire Code and Federal, State and local codes as applicable. In the event of a conflict between these
codes, the most stringent shall prevail.
c.
All workmanship and materials shall be installed in accordance with the Contract Documents.
d.
Furnish and install all electrical work associated with the new Costco Gas Station as described in Sections 2, 3,
and 4, below.
Fuel Area:
a. Furnish and install all conduits, fittings, boxes and wire to dispenser and tank areas, per plan.
b.
Install owner supplied tank monitoring equipment.
c.
Furnish and install ground risers in fill sumps.
d.
Supply and install meter can, fused disconnect per plan, and emergency stops including wiring.
e.
Include secondary conduit and feeders from the transformer to the meter can at the kiosk.
f.
Include the supply and installation of electrical gutter and downspout heat tape.
g.
Shall provide orientation to Costco operators on the proper operation of the controls for the heat tape system,
and provide documentation this orientation was completed with signatures from JCGI personnel and Costco
operators involved.
h.
Install owner furnished canopy and fascia lights and provide and install all conduit and wiring associated with
same. Note: Cutting canopy lights into the canopy deck resides in this scope of work.
i.
Clarification on notes contained within plan page E4, details 1 and 2 stating, “Vertical and horizontal runs above
seal-offs and within the canopy shall be rigid metal conduit (no exceptions).” This pertains to all conduit visible
below the canopy deck. Conduit above the canopy deck, not visible to the general public, i.e. conduit runs
between canopy lights, may employ EMT conduit with weather tight fittings.
j.
Subcontractor to furnish and install all conduit and wiring to gas station signage.

a.
Install raceway only, for owner furnished and installed video system in canopy area. Camera monitor, VCR, and
cables to cameras located within the warehouse area to be installed by others.
b.
Install the emergency phone including a telephone handset within a weatherproof enclosure mounted on the
exterior of the equipment enclosure.
c.
Owner to furnish and install power wiring and signal wiring for the camera equipment.
d.
Assist general contractor to coordinate completion of cabling from the warehouse to the gas station controller
enclosure.
Electronic Monitoring System:
a. Install the Veeder Root TLS 350R monitor console in the electrical controller enclosure.
b.
Personnel performing the installation must be a "Certified Level I Installer" by Veeder-Root Environmental
Products Company. System programming to be performed by others.
c.
Install gutters, electrical outlets, conduit to equipment, outlets in kiosk and loops between the gutters, tank
monitoring system, fuel equipment, emergency shut off buttons, connections to pre-installed ceiling lights, and
overfill alarm and acknowledgement.
d.
Furnish materials and labor to install all conduit and wiring to the power panel inside kiosk.
e.
Intercept conduits from store (within 5' of kiosk) and terminate into kiosk.
f.
Shall include supply and install of audible bell/ringer at kiosk.
Specific Requirements:
a. Rob-roy conduit must be used, no Ocal, etc.
b.
Turbine home run is continuous Rob-roy.
c.
All other conduits are 10’ Rob-roy on each end, PVC may be used between ends. No PVC will can be exposed.
d.
Pull ropes must be in place before backfill.
e.
Must supply all gutter boxes within kiosk.
f.
Canopy lights must be cut in, and installed. A lift must be included in your bid for this work.
g.
Ensure you have included all necessary explosion proof Jboxes as per E-1 (typically labeled conduit 69, note 19)
h.
You have included a Jbox in each sump between penetration and turbine head.
i.
Technicians must be Veeder-Root lvl 1 certified to make terminations in Veeder-Root
j.
All wire must be per specification, and per plan. No substitutions are allowed, even for color.
Administrative:
a.
Provide health and safety plan.
b.
Provide all submittals required
a. Electrical material
c.
Provide container and haul off all debris

d.
Submittals must be turned in within 7 days of Contract award. All submittals must be as indicated in
Specification.
e.
Provide performance testing as required by the contract documents.
f.
Provide all manpower and or overtime necessary to meet or exceed the attached project Schedule.
g.
Remove all waste products generated by the subcontractor during construction on a daily basis into the
subcontractor's dumpster. If the subcontractor is not maintaining this daily clean up, the general contractor will
remove any waste not removed, at subcontractor's expense.
h.
Protect slab from tire and oil marks due to rented or owned equipment used over the slab. Any tire or oil marks
left by subcontractor shall be removed by subcontractor prior to completion of the project, or the general
contractor shall remove them at subcontractor's expense. All tires used on the completed slab shall be nonmarking tires or the tires shall be wrapped in order to avoid marking the slab on grade. All equipment used over
the slab must be diapered to prevent hydraulic or oil spills.
i.
Shall not weld or cut over unprotected slab on grade. All SOG protection shall be approved by the project
superintendent prior to cutting or welding. Any slab damaged by cutting or welding will be replaced at
subcontractor's expense.
