Read these instructions carefully and familiarise yourself with the procedure before assembling your gazebo 2. Check that you have all the components and fittings detailed in the parts list and familiarise yourself with each part before proceeding 3. Take all the fittings out of the plastic bags and separate them into their respective groups, carefully dispose of the plastic bags 4. Ensure that you have enough space to arrange the parts and construct your gazebo before assembly 5. Due to the size of this gazebo we recommend that it should be assembled in its intended location c . e r 7. In order to maintain alignment and to distribute loading as evenly as possible during assembly, it is strongly recommended that the process be carried out by at least two people Cautions m o 6. Locate the gazebo on level ground, in an area free from obstructions and sheltered from wind u s i e - Read all instructions and fire precaution warnings before use and retain for future reference - This Gazebo is not a permanent structure or shelter – do not use or leave assembled in windy conditions or periods of heavy rain or snowfall - Please note this gazebo is shower proof only and not waterproof - Do not assemble or dismantle in windy conditions - Roll up the door inwards to avoid holding water - To avoid risk to children or animals please dispose of all packaging and plastic bags in a responsible fashion. - Always zip up the doors when leaving your gazebo unattended u p L s o t c O Fire Precautions & Safety - This gazebo is flammable, observe fire safety guidelines at all times - Do not allow naked flames or obvious heat sources in or around this gazebo – there is no - permitted cooking area in this gazebo - Do not store cooking apparatus, BBQ’s or other heat sources in this gazebo - Do not smoke or allow smoking in or around this gazebo, locate the unit 5 to 10 meters away from all heat/naked flame sources and cooking facilities Tips And Guidelines - Practice erecting and dismantling your gazebo before use and familiarise yourself with the fittings and components - Take note of all the parts and take care not to leave components behind after dismantling your gazebo - Check fabric and components at regular intervals for damage www.octopus-leisure.com 3/11 Stage 1 – Assembling The Connecting Frames B D E B B u s i e L s u p o t c O c . e r O O D E Fig.1 m o Fig. 2 Fig. 3 To build your gazebo start with the assembly of three separate but identical ‘connecting frames’ to be located, one at the ridge level and one each at the right and left hand eaves levels, proceed as follows: 1. Fully insert support pole B into into centre joint D and corner joint E to construct ridge end assembly, align joints in same plane and gently tighten in place using wing screws O. SEE FIG 1. 2. Using the same method as FIG 1, add three support poles B and centre joints D terminating in corner joint E aligning and tightening as you proceed. SEE FIG 2. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to construct two further connecting frames. SEE FIG 3. 4/11 www.octopus-leisure.com Stage 2 – Roof Construction B A A B A B A O O c . e r L s Connecting Frame u p o t c O u s i e Fig.4 m o Connecting Frame O Fig.5 1.Starting at the ridge end, fully insert 5 spar poles A into corner joints E and D along the length of one of the connecting frames checking alignment and tightening wing screws O as you progress, SEE FIG 4. 2.Repeat as 1. above inserting a further 5 spar poles A on the opposing side in order to form the roof, SEE FIG 4. 3.Fit the two remaining connecting frames at eaves level, checking alignment and tightening wing screws O as you progress, SEE FIG 5. www.octopus-leisure.com 5/11 Stage 3 – Roof Canopy G c . e r Q u s i e Fig. 6 1.Carefully locate the roof canopy in position and secure using canopy ties Q, SEE FIG 6. Avoid bending the pegs which are best effective if driven into the ground at a slight angle, use a rubber mallet if the ground is hard, SEE FIG 13. 3.Attach the ends of the guy ropes P to the eyelets on the gazebo at the corner locations as shown and secure in the positions indicated using medium ground pegs L as described in step 2. above, SEE FIGS 14 & 15. 2.Secure base plates F to ground as shown using medium ground pegs L. Avoid bending the pegs which are best effective if driven into the ground at a slight angle, use a rubber mallet if the ground is hard, SEE FIG 16. www.octopus-leisure.com 9/11 Stage 7 – Ratchet Belts R Fig. 17 c . e r R u s i e R N o t c O Fig. 19 10/11 L s u p M Fig. 18 m o R M Fig. 20 R Fig. 21 1.Attach one end of the ratchet belt R to the gazebo, SEE FIGS 17 & 18. 2.Consider location in relation to gazebo and drive large ground peg M into ground by first Inserting lever bar N into eye of ground peg M and then rotating clockwise until a suitable and secure depth of penetration is achieved, SEE FIGS 18 & 19. 3.Hook free end of the ratchet belt R around eye of large ground peg M, SEE FIGS 18 & 20. 4.Repeat steps 1 to 3 as indicated to locate and attach remaining ratchet belts R, SEE FIG 18. 5.Tension ratchet belts, caution do not over tighten as this will damage the fabric seams, SEE FIG 21. www.octopus-leisure.com c . e r u s i e m o L s Care And Storage u p - Carefully follow the instructions for assembly, dismantling should be carried out in reverse order - Allow the fabric and all components to dry out completely before packing away, storage whilst damp will encourage mould and rust - Never attempt to loosen or remove the ground pegs by pulling on the fabric or guy ropes - All parts should be cleaned and packed separately when completely dry, gently remove dirt and debris from the fabric with a soft brush and never use cleaning abrasives or detergents o t c O After Care - Customer help line Mon to Fri, 9am until 5pm, on 0151 520 0074 - Visit: www.octopus-leisure.com www.octopus-leisure.com 11/11
