The Louisa County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at the Louisa
County Complex. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Paula Buckman,
Chairman. The following Board members were present: Paula Buckman, Chris Ball.
Randy Griffin was absent

Motion Ball, second Buckman to approve agenda for August 2, 2016
Motion Ball, second Buckman to approve minutes for July 26, 2016
The following meetings were attended. Ball attended the Community Action
meeting. Buckman attended the Highway 61 Coalition meeting.
The following payroll changes were reviewed. Ernie Gerst end of seasonal.
Chuck Borschel gave the IT monthly update
Greg Johnson gave the monthly update for Zoning. The Zoning department took in
$900.00 in permits for the month of July.
Greg Johnson and Darrel Walker presented plats and resolution for the Lil’
Hollywood Subdivision.
Motion Ball, second Buckman to sign Resolution 201637 for the Lil’ Hollywood
Subdivision.
RESOLUTION 201637
WHEREAS, there has been presented before the Board of Supervisors of
Louisa County, Iowa, a dedication plat by B C D LLLP, as owner, and further
subdividers of a subdivision to be known as LIL’ HOLLYWOOD
SUBDIVISION, such division consisting of one lot, such real estate being
described as follows:
WHEREAS, said plat has been previously approved by the County Zoning
Administrator on behalf of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the County
Engineer and fully confirms to the laws of the State of Iowa and the subdivision
regulation ordinances of Louisa County, Iowa and is conducive to the orderly
development within Louisa County, Iowa and is in harmony with the Comprehensive
Plan and other duly adopted plans of the County; and
WHEREAS, no private streets or other improvements are contemplated by
this subdivision and there are no restrictions, covenants, or easements affecting the
property other than those shown on the plat itself; and
WHEREAS, whereas attached to the final plat is a certificate and
dedication of the owner, and attorney’s opinion stating that the land is free from all
encumbrances and unpaid taxes or other liens of record, and said subdivision is not
within two miles of any city within Louisa County, Iowa,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Board of Supervisors
of Louisa County, Iowa, as follows:
1. That the dedication and further platting of said subdivision be, and
the same is, hereby accepted and approved, including the reservation
of any easements of record.
2. That said subdivision be, and the same is, hereby designated as
LIL’ HOLLYWOOD SUBDIVISION in Louisa County, Iowa, and
that the description of the lots of the land located herein shall be
according to the number and designation thereof as set forth on said
plat.
3. That the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and the Louisa County
Auditor be and are hereby authorized and directed to certify this
Resolution so that the same and all other matters material to said
subdivision may be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Louisa
County, Iowa.

2016 assessment year, and disallowing 4 military and 1 homestead applications due to not
meeting Code regulations.
Motion Ball, second Buckman to sign Contracts for new Sheriff Deputies (
Archer and Borders) going to the Academy.
Motion Ball, second Buckman to approve Century Link’s Application of
Construction on Louisa County Right of Way allowing them to place fiber optic cable in
the east ditch of County Road X61 from Box Car Road(Louisa County line) south to
Bananza Road.
Larry Roehl had the Secondary Roads update for the week.
