About Our City Settled in 1848, McKinney, a mere 30 minutes north of Dallas, is one of the oldest and most historic cities in Texas. McKinney is easily accessible, too, from U.S. Highway 380 to the north and Highway121 to the south. McKinney National Airport Situated 45 miles northeast of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and 30 miles north of Love Field, McKinney is easily accessible by those flying in on commercial aircraft. Corporate jets and other smaller private aircraft can fly directly into McKinney to the McKinney National Airport that sits on the southeast end of town. This airport offers 24-hour customs. McKinney National Airport McKinney National Airport (TKI) is located in the rapidly growing North Dallas region at the confluence of Highways 121, 75 and 380 - just minutes from downtown Dallas, the Telecom Corridor and the famous Millennium and Legacy Business Parks. Driving to McKinney National Airport From US 75 heading north or south, you’ll take exit 39, Eldorado Parkway. Drive east on Eldorado Parkway just 2 miles to the intersection of Hwy. 5 and McDonald Street. Eldorado becomes Industrial Blvd. so continue east on Industrial Blvd. for 1.5 miles where it ends at the airport. The main Terminal is located on the left, a white two-story building with red trim. From 121 heading northeast, cross over Hwy. 75, past the hospital (red light) and to Hwy. 5 (stay to the left) to Eldorado/Industrial Blvd. At the red light, make a right onto Industrial (Pecan Grove Cemetery on the right) and continue for 1.5 miles to the airport, straight ahead.
