Our group welcomes all parishioners, men and women, who are grieving
the loss of a loved one. At our monthly meetings we learn about the
grief process and offer support and care to one another. Members
informally gather for fellowship at other times as desired. We will meet
this week on Thursday 10:15 am to 11:45 am in the Music Room .

GOLDEN FOOD PANTRY
The Golden Corner Food Pantry provides monthly emergency and
supplemental food to disadvantaged and low-income residents of
Oconee County. In the past Food Pantry distributed nearly 1.5 million
lbs. of food to over 1400 households monthly, including 500 seniors. For

JUBILATE SUNDAY
THE THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER

As we continue our celebration of Easter throughout the seven weeks of
the Easter Season, this Third Sunday of Easter is known as Jubilate
Sunday because the first word of the Entrance Chant (in Latin) is
Jubilate: “Cry out with JOY to God, all the earth!” With a deep sense of
joy, the newly baptized (neophytes) continue their formation
contemplating the mystagogy of this season. Mystagogy is derived from
the same root of the word for mystery; however while we typically think
of a mystery as having a solution, mystagogy denotes something
completely different. The mysteries of the Christian faith are not cases
that can be solved but openings into the very life of God into which we,
along with the newly baptized, are called to immerse ourselves with
wonder and awe. Take time over these seven weeks to enter into the
depth of these mysteries of the Church as you thoughtfully consider the
dual nature of Jesus the Christ and the meaning and effect of His salvific
sacrifice upon the cross, His glorious Resurrection and Ascension into
heaven, the power and grace of the Sacraments, and our lives forever
changed! If you or someone you know would like to find out more about
