ELA: Theme – Responsibility
The students will work in groups to read and report on
assigned sections of One Well by Rochelle Strauss.
This book will provide a review of the water cycle unit.
We will also use Study Island to review all major ELA
skills as CRCT approaches. This remainder of this unit
will include several books that connect to humans
taking responsibility for the Earth and its creatures.

Math: Measurement
This week, we will continue our unit of Measurement.
The students will investigate what it means to measure
length, weight, volume, time, and angles. They will work
with units of measurement including km, m, cm; kg, g;
lb, oz; l, ml; hr, min, sec, and degrees (angles).
Social Studies/Science: A New Nation
We will begin studying where we left off in our Nation’s
history after the winning our independence in the
Revolutionary War. Subjects that we will cover include;
the Articles of Confederation, Constitutional
Convention, James Madison, Constitution, Bill of
Rights, Branches of Government, War of 1812,
Westward Expansion, Louisiana Purchase, and the
Industrial Revolution.

Notes from the Teacher:
 Wax Museum – 4 Grade students will host the Wax Museum on March 27 from 8:30-10:00am.
Parents and relatives have a reserved time from 8:30-9:00 before the other grade levels come
through.
 Please continue to allow students to work on Study Island assignments at home whenever
possible. It even works on cell phones!
