All students must read Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde before the start of Year 10. Many of you have ordered texts from school and these should be with us by 20th July.

Complete at least one task from each row. You should hand your work in to your teacher in the first lesson back after the summer holiday.
Engage and research:
Research Robert Louis Stevenson’s life and produce a fact
sheet on how his life influenced the novel ’Dr Jekyll and
Mr Hyde.
Design a trailer for a film of
the novel. Complete a
storyboard for the trailer
and a script for the voiceover.
Research life in Victorian
London and create a fact
sheet on the links between
the way people lived and what
happens in ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr
Hyde’.
Select 20 difficult words from the novel.
Create a glossary for these words by writing
a definition for each one.
Create:
Create a mindmap on the character of Dr Lanyon OR Mr
Enfield, considering:


Who is he?
What is the purpose of his character in the
novel?
Create a cast list for the novel, using either celebrities to play
the characters, or staff from OSVA.
Write a 50 word paragraph to explain your choices.
Write a diary entry from the point of view
of Mr Hyde (NOT Dr Jekyll), after he has
killed Sir Danvers Carew.

All students who complete and hand in the project will be awarded with 5 Achievement points (what a great way to start Year 10!).
Any student who goes above and beyond the expectation and produces an exceptional project will be awarded with a L3 Achievement
badge.
