Water Facts
Australia is one of the driest continents on Earth, and yet we are one of the highest consumers of
water per person. Water is a limited resource and of all the water on Earth, less than 1% is usable by
humans. Usable water mostly comes from rivers and dams.
The Earth is getting warmer and so more water is evaporating into the air. It has made the atmosphere
wetter. This means more rains, more storms and more unusual weather events like flooding.
There are lots of ways we can save water and some water saving tips are listed below.

Use a refillable water bottle – Bring a reusable water bottle to
school. Australians spend more than $500 million a year on bottled water
