Dear team at MIA
I wanted to write and say thank you for the insurance that you gave to my father when he was
ill with prostate cancer. In a dark and small world of terminal cancer, he was able to travel
without ‘normal’ travel insurance, which was utterly unsuitable in process, cover and
cost. We were astounded at what awful questions were asked and sums quoted when we first
tried to go to standard travel insurance companies and the process itself made him very
depressed.
Finding MIA enabled him to visit his grandchildren in Belgium and take a family holiday in
France while he was well enough to travel and this made a huge difference to him and mum,
opening up opportunities that they would not have had otherwise during a difficult 4 year
illness.
He finally passed away last October and while I was recommending you to a friend
yesterday, I thought I would drop you a line to say thanks and let you know that you do a
great job.

You will know from your records that I decided not to go ahead with the Insurance for
this trip. The reason being my wife became ill again last Wednesday and it was clear
that going on holiday was too risky. As it transpires her health deteriorated rapidly
and at the age of 50 sadly passed away on Monday. Whilst the family is naturally
devastated we can look back over the last few years on great and wonderful

I have just got my holiday insurance through MIA Clear 2 Go Telephone
number 01268782745. I spoke to a lovely lady called Gemma. They will insure
anyone with Cancer and there are different rates for where you are
travelling to. Thye will only insure you two months before you travel, but
if you are going within the two months that is fine.
I paid £264 for myself (Breast Cancer and Arthritis and my Husband
Arthritis and Spondilitis, this is for 3 weeks Carabean and USa. So this is
the best deal we have had. I have been so down at times as these companys
ask for all your information then tell you “yes we will insure you but not
for the Cancer” I am sure many of us have experienced this, you feel like a
Leppar!!!!!

In 2007, while trying to arrange Travel Insurance after a diagnosis of Lung Cancer I saw in
YOURS a mention of travel insurance company MIA. I would like to bring them to the
attention of readers who might be struggling to get cover. The people who answer the phone
are so considerate, unlike so many companies who run a computer questionnaire and quote
vast sums for cover if they will cover you at all. Sadly this year, due to renewed health
problems, we have had to cancel our holiday and the ladies at MIA have been so helpful. If
