To all the teachers, students and families of Canyon Heights Elementary School,
Your generosity and support towards our on-going programs is greatly appreciated by all those women,
men and children who access our services at North Shore Crisis Services Society.
The clothing that you collected will be used by our women and children who access our clothing
program at The Good Stuff Connection. There are also clients from 14 other agencies who access our
clothing program. Men, women and children get clothing and other items free of charge, and are really
delighted and thankful for the service.
Through our store we also provide affordable clothing and household items to many families on the
north shore who are unable to make ends meet. They enjoy shopping at our store and providing their
families with items that they may otherwise not be able to afford. It is a great way to recycle and reuse
and beneficial to our customers and the environment.
The soaps, lotions, toothpaste and other similar items are used to make care kits for women and
children who come to Sage House, which is our safe house and where women and children can stay up
to 30 days when they are fleeing from abuse or immediate crisis. They usually arrive with very little or
nothing and these care kits are given to them as a start.
Blankets, pillows, sheets, towels and house wares are kept aside for the women when they leave Sage
House and move into their own place. We try and provide them with some basic start-up items to make
their homes comfortable and liveable.
