Award of Merit ​(The judge may select one Award of Merit Winner from the Best of Breed
Class for each eight competing, not to exceed a total of six)
Bred-by-Exhibitor (BBE) Class Eligibility
All dogs entered in BBE class must be individually registered with the AKC
The person handling the dog must be breeder of record of the dog and an owner of
record of the dog.
Non-Regular Single Entry Classes
Veteran Dog & Bitch Classes​: For dogs/bitches seven (7) years & older on the day of the
show. (Winners in these classes are eligible for Best of Breed.)
Multiple Dog Entries
(Winners in these classes are not eligible for Best of Breed.)
Stud Dog Class​. Will be for Stud Dogs and two of their get. Stud Dogs must be entered in
the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. Owner of the Stud Dog
need not necessarily be owner of get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be
considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined in order to
determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the
Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a
regular class, Best of Breed competition, or some other non-regular class.
Brood Bitch Class​.
Produce for Get.
Same as above except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and
Brace Class​. For two dogs with at least one owner in common, irrespective of sex. Dogs
compromising a Brace must be named in “Additional Entry” portion of the entry form. If a
dog that is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class it must be entered for “Brace
Class Only”. In making entries for “Brace Class Only”, full particulars must be given for
each dog on individual regular entry forms. If more than one Brace is entered by the same
owner, the dogs comprising EACH Brace must be so designated “Brace No. 1”, Brace No.
2”, etc.
Parade of Titleholders. ​For AKC registered dogs and bitches Titleholders of Record.
Champions entered in the Best of Breed Competition will be automatically entered in the
Parade of Titleholders, rosettes awarded at completion of participation in parade.
Titleholders not entered in a Regular or Non-Regular Class may be entered for Exhibition
Only in the Parade of Titleholders. The entry MUST have TITLE PARADE on it under
“additional classes”. Participating entrants will receive a Rosette with their name imprinted
on it.
PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES
Puppy 6-9 mo. Puppy 9-12 mo. Junior 12-18 mo.
All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must be entered in regular classes. NO CHAMPIONS.
Entry for Sweepstakes should be placed in "Additional Entry" on entry blank.

Entry blank MUST be filled out with the necessary information; otherwise the entry in
Junior Showmanship will not be accepted.
Novice Junior Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years
old on the day of the show and who have not won three First Places in a Novice Class.
Novice Intermediate Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under
15 years old on the day of the show and who have not won three First Places in a Novice
Class.
Novice Senior Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18
years old on the day of the show who have not won three First Places in a Novice Class
with competition present.
Open Junior Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years
old on the day of the show and have won three First Places in a Novice Class with
competition present.
Open Intermediate Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15
years old on the day of the show and who have won three First Places in a Novice Class
with competition present.
Open Senior Class: ​For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years
old on the day of the show and have won three First Places in a Novice Class with
competition present.
Master Class: ​This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under
18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open
class with Competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The
calendar for this class will be November 1 – October 31 of the following year.
Eligibility of Dog. ​Each dog entered in a regular Junior Showmanship Class must be of a
breed eligible to compete in the conformation classes (including Miscellaneous Classes) at
the event. Dogs may be PAL/ILP, Full-, or Limited-Registered to compete in Junior
Showmanship Classes, additionally, spayed and neutered specimens are eligible for
competition. Breeds excluded from competition at the event are not eligible. The dog must
be entered in one of the classes associated with the event or must be entered for Junior
Showmanship only. An eligible dog other than the one entered may be substituted. Such
substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. The junior must have the
AKC number of the substitute dog. All such substitutions must be made with the
Superintendent or Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the judging of any Junior
Showmanship Classes at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior
Handler or by the Junior Handler’s father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather,
or grandmother, including the corresponding step and half relations, or by a permanent
member of the Junior Handler’s household as recorded with The American Kennel Club at
the time entries close or an application for transfer of ownership must be sent to The
American Kennel Club by the new owner within seven days after the last day of the show.
BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. ​At a Specialty Show, each dog must be of
the breed for which the show is held. ​A Junior is limited to one substitution at a dog show.
If one of the owners of the dog is a judge, the dog may be entered in Junior Showmanship
Only to be exhibited by the Junior at an event where the judge is judging classes other than
Junior Showmanship.
4 AND UNDER 6 MONTHS PUPPY COMPETITION
One combined class will be offered for each variety of dogs that are (4) four months &
under (6) six months.
An AKC registration number or AKC litter registration number will be required for entry.
A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.
Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judge. Breed Standard
disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of
consideration in the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show
Competition.
You must Pre-Enter this competition using the enclosed entry blank and sending it along
with the required fee to the Show Secretary.
Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may complete in this
class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are
defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’
organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented
themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dogs may not be exhibited by current
assistants and household members of a professional handler​.
No puppies under the age of six (6) months, except those participating in the 4 & Under 6
Months Puppy Competition, may be on the grounds.

SHOW REGULATIONS
Entries cannot be accepted, cancelled, altered or substituted, after the entries have closed,
except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.
Make all Checks and Money Orders payable to each club, Canadian exhibitors must make fees
payable in U.S. Funds. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Secretary assumes no
responsibility for cash sent through the mail. All entries are to be mailed with fees to Lori Carver,
Secretary, 18 Plainfield Rd, Cummington, MA 01026. Entries will not be accepted without fees.
Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practical. Should such acknowledgement not
be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Secretary.
An Event Service Fee and a Recording fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or
Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. These fees are to be collected by the
Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class
in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club
Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2).
Post Dated Checks and Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Secretary will add a
collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
Fees must accompany entries. This club and/or Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or
incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent. This club and its Secretary
assume no responsibility for the owner or the owner’s agent entering a dog in a class in which it is
not eligible to compete, or for entering the dog twice.
Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, lame, excused by
Veterinarian or Judge, or because it has been entered incorrectly, or barred from competition by
action of the Show Committee. There is no refund for duplicate entries. If because of riots, civil
disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to
complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made.
The Show-giving club is not responsible for the loss of, damage to, or death of any dog exhibited or
for the possessions of any participant, whether the result of accident or any other cause. It is
expressly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner
or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. Do not leave dogs in closed
vehicles.
The welfare of any exhibitor’s/spectator’s child is the responsibility of the exhibitor/spectator. It is
expressly understood that exhibitors/spectators will exercise control and restraint over their children
on the site and surrounding areas. The Show-giving Club is not responsible for theft or damage to
vehicles or personal property.
The Specialty Clubs may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any
dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse
against the Specialty Clubs or any official thereof.
PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG
Judges are not required to wait for dogs. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for
having it ready at ringside. The show-giving Club and the Secretary have no obligation or
responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards for the purpose of
calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Dogs may arrive any time
prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.
All dogs present must be held on leash except when being judged.
