General Notes All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and emergency contact form. We need this information in order to get in touch with you or a parent if there is ever a problem. Behind the circulation desk is a white volunteer binder. You are required to sign it each time you volunteer. This is the only record we have to verify that you have completed your volunteer service. We refer to the white binder when filling out or signing community service forms. Volunteers who satisfactorily work 10 hours or more may request a letter of recommendation from the Youth Services Librarian. Many of our volunteer opportunities can use more than one person, and in most cases you are welcome to bring a friend. Please do ask first, as there may be some times we already have enough people signed up to volunteer. Also, please keep in mind that while some programs will lend themselves to a little more noise, we also appreciate appropriate behavior when working in the general library area. A Few Additional Notes: If you are interested in a career working with children and would like an opportunity to help lead or take a more involved role with a program, please let us know. We will be happy to work with you! If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by the Bridgeville Public Library to fill out a volunteer form. Our address is 505 McMillen Street Bridgeville PA 15017. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Karen Verduci at 412-221-3737 or [email protected].
