TYNGSBOROUGH PUBLIC LIBRARY Board of Library Trustees Policy Subcommittee Meeting March 29, 2016, 9:00 AM Library Trustee Julie latron called the meeting to order at 9: 10 AM. Present at the meeting were Trustee Julie latron and Library Director Sue Arthur. Julie and Sue acknowledged the need for reviewing and updating policies on a more regular basis. Factors determining priorities for revision were discussed. The Audiovisual Circulation Policy was reviewed. Revisions to the current policy were discussed. A second meeting will be scheduled to continue the discussion before proposed revisions are presented to the Board of Library Trustees. Documents provided by Sue were the current version of the policy and a revised version highlighting proposed changes. Music CDs may be borrowed for three weeks and renewed. Each cardholder may check out up to 20 CDs from the Tyngsborough Public Library collection at a time. DVDs may be borrowed for one week. DVDs may not be renewed. Each cardholder may check out up to 10 DVSs from the Tyngsborough Public Library collection at a time. Fines are one dollar ($1) per video per day to a maximum of $25 per cardholder. Preloaded Video Players and Tablets may be borrowed for one week. They may circulate to patrons of libraries in MVLC, but must be picked up for checkout at the Tyngsborough Public Library. Each cardholder may check out only one player or tablet from the Tyngsborough Public Library collection at a time. Fines are five dollars ($5) per unit per day to a maximum of $25 per cardholder. Video Games may be borrowed for one week and may not be renewed.. They may circulate to patrons of libraries in MVLC, but must be picked up for checkout at the Tyngsborough Public Library. Each cardholder may check out only one video game from the Tyngsborough Public Library collection at a time. Fines are two dollars ($2) per video game per day to a maximum of ten dollars ($10). Audiovisual materials may be returned to the circulation desk or placed in the video return box in the Town Hall lobby. They may not be returned via the outdoor drop box. Missing or damaged discs will be the responsibility of the borrower. All associated print items must be returned with audiovisual materials. Tyngsborough Public Library is not responsible for any damage to a cardholder's equipment that occurs while playing materials that are borrowed from Tyngsborough Public Library.
