Wedding Liturgy Music As with all Liturgical Celebrations, your wedding music should be chosen with great care. Lyrics should be taken from Holy Scripture or other Liturgical Sources. They should reflect not only human love, but also God's love and presence in our lives. Popular music is not appropriate for the wedding Liturgy. A variety of traditional and contemporary Liturgical music can be used to make your wedding ceremony unique. The following list offers suggestions for appropriate music and songs. Most of the music can be found in the Breaking Bread hymnal. For a wedding ceremony outside of the Mass, omit the Offertory, Eucharistic Acclamations, and Communion sections.
