for the challenge of college preparatory work.
The GPA reflects all course work taken at Whitfield for
grades 9–12. Whitfield reports GPAs to colleges and
universities at the end of the sixth, seventh and eighth
high school semesters.
A student’s GPA is based on a four-point system as follows:
A 4.0

C- 1.67
B+ 3.33
D+ 1.33
B 3.0
D 1.0
B- 2.67
D- 0.67
C+ 2.33
F 0.0

GPA is 4.0; the range of GPAs for the middle 50% of the
class of 2009 is 3.24-3.75.
Transcripts reflect semester grades. Seventh semester grades
are mailed in January, as soon as they are available.
Students arrange with the testing services to have scores sent
directly to the colleges and universities. Whitfield does not
report any test scores on the transcript.
