We are blessed to be a bridge, connecting those in need with the love and life-changing power of the local church. The Help Center lovingly served 363 families, engaging them relationally and meeting over 1,900 specific needs. Over 5,200 Personal Care Items distributed by New Era Christian Reformed and Hart United Methodist churches. 53 Families received beds through the Beds for 14 6 Kids ministry of Shelby Road Baptist Church. 26 Babies were cared for by items from the Baby Pantry at First Congregational United Church of Christ. 242 People served through the Housewares & Bedding Pantry run by New Era Reformed Church. Families celebrated birthdays with a cake they made from a Birthday Bag supplied by New Era Bible Church. People transitioning from homelessness received a cleaning supply kit from Shelby Methodist Church. Over 6,000 articles of clothing, 41 furniture items, and 6 appliances were provided through the pantries at the Love INC building. 150 items were borrowed from the Medical Supply Loan closet. We are grateful to God and our generous community for the financial support that is given to sustain Love INC in Oceana County. Your investment in Love INC of Oceana County allows us to multiply resources within our community. The welcoming volunteers in the Help Center provide a loving voice to someone in a difficult situation. Our large building allows us to receive donations of all kinds. They are used in the Gap Ministries run by churches and extra items are offered for sale in the Thrift Store. Providing these shared resources in a central location allows the Church to do what it is called to do - serve in the Name of Christ! Love INC engages in an annual financial review by Lake Michigan CPA Services. Donated Goods and Services Valued at $307,000 were given to families participating with Love INC during the past year. Love INC connects with people relationally. God works through relationships and He is continually showing us how we can experience transformation by being willing to offer ourselves as we reach out to help people in need. “Walkerville Thrives” Love INC helped residents engage in Asset Based Community Development. 64 Neighbors completed Money Management and Goal Setting Sessions in the Help Center. 8 out of 9 Participants completed the 12 week Faith & Finances program. 81 Volunteers offered over 6,500 hours of their time to love their neighbors. 44 Families were connected or reconnected to local churches. 3 Sessions of Redemptive Compassion Bible Study held. 410 Notes and follow-up calls were made by volunteers. Volunteers also provided transportation, made home visits, delivered furniture and regularly prayed for our Oceana County neighbors. This is the Body of Christ united in purpose to do Kingdom work!
