The students will be asked to write a personal narrative (not less than 70 words) about one of
the following topics:
• Name a time to tell that you were very surprised. Write a story about what happened
and surprised you.
• You have recently celebrated your birthday party. You have invited a lot of friends.
Write about you special day and how you spent it.
Review the elements of a "Personal Narrative" booklet page: 36.
The writing will be graded according to the following:
• Title / Topic Sentence / Indention / Closing Sentence.
• Details (at least 5) using time-order words.
• Mechanics (punctuation, spelling and grammar mistakes).
