18-HOLE - TEAM STROKE PLAY (Gross & Net Best Ball)
The maximum field of 50 teams will not be divided into flights. Each 2-Man Team will be
competing against all other 2-Man Teams. There will be one Gross and one Net 2-Man Team
Grand Champion.
ELIGIBILITY:
All MISGA associates in good standing. Finalists must qualify through their Division’s
selection process. Finalists must have an established valid USGA handicap computed and
maintained at the finalist’s home club. Teammates of each 2-Man Team must be members of
the same club. The 2016 Gross and Net 2-Man Team Grand Champions are automatically
eligible, but must pay the Entry Fee.
HANDICAP ALLOWANCE:
1. 90% of each partner’s course handicap. 95% for women
2. There will be an additional 10% reduction to each partner’s course handicap if the
partners’ handicaps differ by more than 8 strokes.

PRIZES:
1. Based on a full field of 50 teams, 14 total teams will receive a Pro Shop Gift Certificate
(the Gross and Net Grand Champions plus 6 gross teams and 6 net teams).
2. In addition, the Gross and Net Grand Champions will receive a high quality engraved trophy.
3. Winners of the four Closest-to-the-Pin holes & Straightest Drive will receive a box of 12 golf balls.

ENTRY FEE:

1. The Entry Fee - $105 per person - includes a box lunch, range balls, cart fee, cash
bar cocktail hour (w/light hors d’oeuvers), awards banquet (filet mignon & crab cake) and
prize pool.
2. Please submit one check for your Division’s entrants. If space is available, your
alternates will pay at the time of registration.
3. Make checks payable to: Wild Quail Golf & Country Club
4. Entry Deadline: Thursday - July 20, 2017
5. Cancellation Policy: Unless determined otherwise by the *Tournament Committee,
no refunds will be granted after Thursday - July 27, 2017.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Practice rounds are permitted. Finalists must contact Head Pro Rick McCall (refer above) for
arrangements to play at Wild Quail G&CC.
TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE:
The tie breaking procedure for the Gross and Net 2-Man Team Grand Champions will be a
sudden-death playoff. All other places will be based on a match-of-cards for both the Low
Gross and Low Net winners. The initial tie-breaker will be the best score attained for the
last nine holes (10-18), then the last six holes (13-18), then the last three holes (16-18) and
finally the 18th hole. Should a tie still exist, the match will be a hole-by-hole match
beginning with the #1 handicap hole and proceeding to the #2 handicap hole and so on until
the tie is broken.
* TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE:
The Tournament Committee will include the Division I Director (Committee Chairman), the
Division I Tournament Chairman, the Wild Quail CC MISGA Club Rep, the Wild Quail CC
Head Pro and such other individuals as may be designated by the Division I Director. The
MISGA Tournament Chairman will assist as needed.
The Tournament Committee will be responsible for establishing the conditions of
competition; assuring adherence to USGA, MISGA and local rules of golf; assuring
fairness of play and good sportsmanship; interpreting USGA, MISGA and local rules of
play; answering technical questions; mediating disputes and resolving other issues and
problems as they may occur.
