2017 - MISGA 2-MAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP WILD QUAIL COUNTRY CLUB WYOMING, DE FORMAT: - THURSDAY - AUGUST 3, 2017 (Rain Date: Thursday - September 7, 2017) 18-HOLE - TEAM STROKE PLAY (Gross & Net Best Ball) The maximum field of 50 teams will not be divided into flights. Each 2-Man Team will be competing against all other 2-Man Teams. There will be one Gross and one Net 2-Man Team Grand Champion. ELIGIBILITY: All MISGA associates in good standing. Finalists must qualify through their Division’s selection process. Finalists must have an established valid USGA handicap computed and maintained at the finalist’s home club. Teammates of each 2-Man Team must be members of the same club. The 2016 Gross and Net 2-Man Team Grand Champions are automatically eligible, but must pay the Entry Fee. HANDICAP ALLOWANCE: 1. 90% of each partner’s course handicap. 95% for women 2. There will be an additional 10% reduction to each partner’s course handicap if the partners’ handicaps differ by more than 8 strokes. In addition, the Gross and Net Grand Champions will receive a high quality engraved trophy. 3. TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE: The tie breaking procedure for the Gross and Net 2-Man Team Grand Champions will be a sudden-death playoff. All other places will be based on a match-of-cards for both the Low Gross and Low Net winners. The initial tie-breaker will be the best score attained for the last nine holes (10-18), then the last six holes (13-18), then the last three holes (16-18) and finally the 18th hole. Should a tie still exist, the match will be a hole-by-hole match beginning with the #1 handicap hole and proceeding to the #2 handicap hole and so on until the tie is broken. * TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: The Tournament Committee will include the Division I Director (Committee Chairman), the Division I Tournament Chairman, the Wild Quail CC MISGA Club Rep, the Wild Quail CC Head Pro and such other individuals as may be designated by the Division I Director. The MISGA Tournament Chairman will assist as needed.
