DESCRIPTION
Herbs like basil, spearmint, thyme and cilantro, and
others add fabulous flavor to meals and drinks! Don’t
pay high supermarket prices for fresh herbs. Make
meals taste better with herbs you’ve grown in your own
garden. In this workshop, we’ll cover various annual,
perennial, and biennial herbs that can be easily grown
in a Long Island home garden and brought to the table.
The discussion will include growth requirements and
habits, uses in different cuisines and storage. And,
you’ll be receiving herb seedlings and seeds to start
your own garden collection! A PowerPoint presentation
is included. If you have questions about your
registration, please call Doreen at 631-872-8002.
Create a spring container with Marjorie Potash of the
Perennial Palette. Come join us for our spring container
workshop. Time to get your hands back in the soil after
our long winter hiatus from the garden. Please bring
gloves, trowel and pruners. Marjorie will supply the
containers, plants, soil and of course all her
knowledge. Your container will look good all spring and
summer.
