Sample menus have been designed by Aqua and are attached for your perusal. Please note that a menu to suit your
particular culinary delight will gladly be created for you, by Celia & Trish.
Your floral creation will be carefully orchestrated by our “Branching Out” team, who provide the flowers & decor &
wedding props: candles, vases & candelabras, chalkboards, easels & tablecloths etc, to enhance your wedding theme.

The Rose Barn
The Ceremony:
Sweeping views from the deck of the Rose Barn add to the Magical Setting of Your Intimate Ceremony whilst guests
are seated alongside Iceberg Roses and fragrant Lavendar A crisp white Bedouin Tent may be constructed at a nominal
fee should the weather prove to be unfavourable. The sheltered foyer of the Rose Barn may be utilised as a “Plan B”
option, with stretch tent awnings drawn to prevent a winter chill or sudden breeze. No extra fee’s involved!
A setup fee of R 1500.00 is required for the preparation of the ceremonial venue with chairs, and includes the moving
of the chairs to the reception hall after the service, by our team of staff.
Venue Hire for 2016 / 7 wedding celebrations:
The Rose Barn is available to you at a fee of R 15 750.00 for the first 100 Guests.
For every Guest attendee thereafter, a fee of R 100.00 per person will be applicable. This rate will be valid for all
weddings celebrations taking place within the 2016 calendar year.
The following will be included in the Venue Hire for your convenience:
Crockery / Cutlery / Elegant Glassware (1 x 450ml long stemmed wine glass & 1 x champagne flute)
Table dressing: white linen napkins / white linen tablecloths / “Rose Barn” embossed rustic runners
Bar: glass ice buckets & tongs for table ice service / ice cubes / Decorative Urns / 1 Barman / service of placing
specified table wines and chilled sparkling wines on the reception tables prior to the Guests being seated / Canape
drinks: silver Rose Bowls for ciders & beers / Glass decanters for cocktails / flavoured waters / Full canape drinks service:
glasses / waitrons
The timeous preparation of table setting: steaming glasses & cutlery, ironing and placing tablecloths, arranging the
tables according to the seating plan of your choice (eg banquet style)
Decor inclusive of the Venue Hire:
Leather couches / Large Urns / Fairy Lights currently strung / Comfortable seating within the Venue / Mirrors / Chandeliers
/ Luxurious Velvety Curtaining / Decorative Dresser which seperates the Dining from the Dancing ~ boasting an array
of Decorative Urns, Pillar Candle stands / Ornaments / Lanterns @ The Wishing Fountain / Cocktail Tables & Chairs /
Wine Barrels / Wedding Gift Table / Registry Table / DJ Table, electrical plugpoint connections & Sufficient Lighting
The following is available to you, at an additional fee, which we will happily arrange:

The Rose Barn
The Bedouin Tent:
An impressive imported waterproof stretch tent measuring 15m x 10m is available to hire at a fee of R 5000.00 for the
occasion. Do note that the setup fee incurred will be R 1500.00, this allows for the construction and the dismantling of
the tent.
Additional Services:
The following may be hired by The Rose Barn on your behalf:
• Standing gas heaters to ward off the crisp winter chill of the reception venue @ R 550.00 each
• Elegant umbrella’s to provide shade to your guests during the summery lawn ceremony @
R 480.00 each
• Games: a selection of fun lawn games are available to hire from The Rose Barn. The request for these games should
be payable in advance in order to secure this service @ R550.00 ~ the set will include: mini golf / Boules or Petanque
/ Croquet
• Firewood: one bakkie load @ R 550.00 (includes the collection & drop off)
Additional Decor provided by the Bridal Party:
Should the Bridal Party wish to deliver decor items as listed below, which they would require the Rose Barn Team to
decorate the reception venue or ceremony location with, a fee of R 1000.00 will be levied for this service. Please note
that this fee applies to all the additional extra’s which are not included in the Branching Out service, for example:
Wedding favours / Menu’s / Additional table decor eg antique books, bird cages, tealight candles in holders / dresser
decor / cake table decor / Bunting Name tags & place cards on the tables or chairs
** You are more than welcome to “dress” your own tables and venue / ceremony, once the Rose Barn Team have
completed their setting of all the tables and the placing of the ceremony chairs ~ your own decorating must be
completed by the Friday @ 16h00, as the staff then depart the venue and the alarm is activated.
Responsibility Clause:
Should the bridal party be bringing any items to the Rose Barn premises, eg games / confetti baskets / heaters /
cushions / vases / decor of any sort, a dedicated member of your Briday Party is to be made responsible for these items,
as the Rose Barn cannot take any responsibility for these items. Pleas confirm who the responsible person will be, at the
time of delivering these items (perferrably, the Thursday prior to the Wedding Celebration)
The collection of these items must be arranged for he 1st Monday after the wedding celebration as the Rose Barn is
closed on a Sunday.
Dressing room availability:
Beautifully appointed rooms have been created to allow the Bridal Party to prepare for her Big Day. The dressing room
is available from 08h00 on the day of the event, until 16h00, at a fee of R 850.00 We will provide a bottle of sparkling
wine & a jug of fresh juice to quench the thirst!
Make up artists & Hairstylists are to provide their own extension leads, multiplugs, mirrors etc. We will gladly provide
the appropriate chairs.

The Rose Barn
Self-Catering Cottages to hire @ The Rose Barn:
We have 3 brand modern self-catering cottages available within easy walking distance of the venue. Each cottage hosts
2 bedrooms, which comfortably sleep 4 guests, boasting Percale linen, a fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge
area and DSTV The rate for the entire cottage will be R 1200.00.
Should the little folk be overnighting, we are able to offer a cot or a camper bed, by prior arrangement, at a fee of R
150.00 each
Bridal Suite:
The decadent bridal suite with en-suite bathroom is the ideal option for the newly weds to spend their 1st evening
after an evening of celebrations with loved ones at the Rose Barn. This is available to hire on a self-catering basis, for
R 850.00
This suite may also be hired for the pre-wedding evening. In an adjacent wing, single beds (4) with an en-suite bathroom,
this option is ideal for the Bridal Party to prepare for the special occasion by spending the evening together. The wing
may be reserved, at R 300.00 per person, on a self catering basis.
Replacement costs / Breakage Fee
In the unlikely event of one of our venue hire “inclusive” items are damaged, a R 1 500.00 refundable deposit will be
requested when reserving the venue, payable in addition to the venue deposit. The fee per wine glass is R 55.00 & the
fee per champagne glass is R 45.00. Please ensure that you complete our banking detail request form to ensure the
prompt repayment after the wedding celebration. The breakage levy of R 500.00, however is non-refundable.
Children:
We welcome Children to the Rose Barn! However, due to the catering and event requirements, we suggest that menu’s,
seating and care whilst the reception is underway, are discussed prior to the event. Do note, that childminders will have
to be sourced by yourselves. We do not offer any childminding services.
Elderly / Mobility impaired:
The Rose Barn has convenient wheelchair accessibility to the venue, ceremony and the restrooms
Branching Out:
Floral works of art are created by our outsourced Floristry / Decor Company, aptly named “Branching Out”. Take a

Catering by the Esteemed Aqua Food and Catering Company:
The Aqua Team, based in St Francis Bay, work in conjunction with the Rose Barn to ensure each and every function /
special event is a truly mouthwatering experience! A selection of sample menu’s have been designed, to give you an
idea of the scrumptious options available. Please note that these are merely options and the Aqua Team are happy to
discuss your dining experience with you to create your ideal menu. Wedding cakes are also happily created for you by
Celia & Trish. Attached, please find a selection of the sample menu’s created. Do note: ONLY Aqua Food and Catering
are entitled to create culinary delights on our premises.

Beverage:
The bar has a full liquor licence and prides itself on a selection of premium wines chosen from the Knorrhoek Estate,
situated in Stellenbosch. Should you wish specific beverages to be sourced, kindly convey this information prior to the
celebration. A beverage price list is available for your perusal. A corkage fee for every bottle of sparkling wine, red
or white wine will be charged, should your own wines be of preference. These are the ONLY items which our Liquor
Licence allows our guests to bring to the Venue. To confirm, the venue hire includes 1 Barman. We encourage an additional barman for weddings of approximately 100 guests and an additional 2 barmen for approximately 150 guests,
at a wages fee of R 550.00 per barman. A bar tab may be arranged prior to the celebration with a timeous deposit
payment prior to the Wedding Celebration taking place. The corkage fee must be settled prior to the wedding celebration taking place.
All beverage requirements are to be confirmed 2 weeks prior to the wedding celebration ~ we will provide you with
our beverage preference sheet in due course.
Creating your own floral arrangements?
By prior arrangement, you may create your own floral works of art. Your arrangements must be prepared off the property as we do not offer floral arranging facilties. The Rose Barn will be available from 10h00 ~ noon only, on the day of
the wedding celebration, only for the arrangements to be placed on the tables.
** Do note that there is no kitchen facility available to the preparation team / Bridal Party **
Closing time:
Our liquor licence indicates a specific closing time of 02h00.
We are happy to offer you additional celebration time, at a fee of R 2000.00 per hour, payable before the hour begins!
Our final final closing time will be 04h00!
NSRI rules and regulations:
Due to recent unfortunate events, we are unable to allow sparklers, sky lanterns or any form of “open flame” from
being ignited on the premises.
Smoking:
A designated smoking area is available to our Guests.
Load Shedding:
The Rose Barn has a 20 KVA, 3 phase generator onsite, which is powerful enough to ensure that all wedding celebrations
continue in the normal fashion, in the unlikely event of unforeseen power cuts.

Venue Hire: 50% non-refundable deposit secures the Venue for your Special Celebration
The remaining payment will be due by no later than 20 working days prior to the event. We trust you will accept and
