DriveTools SP Version 5.06 Software Patch
This release note describes major version 5, minor version 6 of DriveTools SP
software. This patch is not a complete installation and only installs the necessary
updated software components.

Determining Your Software
Version
This section describes the procedures to determine the software version of your
DriveTools SP software package. You must have versions 3.01…5.05 already
installed on your PC in order to update to version 5.06.
Method #1
Launch DriveExecutive and read the version number that is displayed in the
startup window. Note the startup window is only momentarily displayed when
DriveExecutive launches. If you could not read the version in time, use Method
#2 below to view the version.
Method #2
In DriveExecutive, select Help >> About DriveExecutive to display the About
DriveExecutive Software window.

The version number will be located under the DriveExecutive name on the
General tab (see image below).
Installing the Software
Patch
This section describes the procedure for installing the software patch. You must
have versions 3.01…5.05 already installed on your PC in order to update to
version 5.06.
1. Install the necessary version 5.06 patch over versions 3.01…5.05 on your
PC.
2. Open DriveExecutive.
3. Continue with Verifying the Software Component Versions on page 4.

Component Versions
Method #1
Launch DriveExecutive and read the version number that is displayed in the

Method #2
In DriveExecutive, select Help >> About DriveExecutive to display the About
DriveExecutive Software window. The version number will be located under the
DriveExecutive name
Enhancements
This section describes the enhancements provided in this version of software:
Support for DeviceLogix Editor Version 5.003
The version 5.06 software patch updates the DriveExecutive™ software to include
the latest DeviceLogix editor. This update corrects some issues that could cause
DriveExecutive to crash or stop running.
Support for the 20-750-ENETR Dual-port EtherNet/IP Option
Module
Added support for the new 20-750-ENETR in Standard and Tap modes.

Corrected Anomalies
This section describes the anomalies corrected in this revision for software:
PowerFlex 755 Drive Diagrams Display for PowerFlex 753 and
PowerFlex 755 Frame 8 and Larger Drives
Anomaly: The diagrams for PowerFlex 755 drives display for both the PowerFlex
753 and PowerFlex 755 Frame 8 and larger drives.
Correction: The correct diagrams now display for both the PowerFlex 753 and
PowerFlex 755 Frame 8 and larger drives.
Control Bar Does Not Work for PowerFlex 750-Series Drives
Through the 1203-USB
Anomaly: The control bar does not work for PowerFlex 750-Series drives when
using a 1203-USB converter.
Correction: The control bar issue has been resolved for PowerFlex 750-Series
drives when using a 1203-USB converter, as well as the 20-WIM-Nx wireless
interface module.
Restrictions
The following restriction applies to this revision of firmware:
DriveTools SP Versions 3.01…5.05
DriveTools SP software versions 3.01…5.05 must already be installed on
your PC in order for the version 5.06 software patch to install. If versions
3.01…5.05 are not already installed on the PC an error message will occur, stating
that versions 3.01…5.05 were not found.
