Synopsis: Good morning. COLD FRONT extends sw'ward from the w'rn Atlantic into the s'rn Florida Straits, and will move e'ward through the day today.
Weak HIGH PRESSURE extends across the n'rn Gulf of Mexico and s'rn U.S. this morning. This pattern will persist today, with weak building of the HIGH
through the day tomorrow.
Current Conditions: At 04:00AM LT a buoy offshore Venice was reporting NNE'ly winds of 07kts G08kts. At 04:00AM LT a buoy 75NM offshore west of
Tampa Bay was reporting NW'ly waves of 2-3FT. Satellite imagery shows mid-to upper-level clouds moving ne'ward over Tampa and e'rn Central Florida
this morning.
Severe Weather Potential/Advisories: There are no Severe Weather Warnings posted for your area today.
Hedge Forecast: Forecast confidence is HIGH. Areas to watch will be interactions with land/sea breezes.
Conclusions: Winds and swells are currently far lighter and lower closer to Tampa Bay and the shore. Winds will tend to gradually ease in open waters
through midday, then increase into the later afternoon. Swells will tend highest away from shore in more open waters for the day today.
