All liners cut from Quenched and Tempered Plate Stock will be produced on our Kinetic K5000 plasma
profile cutting machine. This machine is incredibly versatile and extremely well suited for producing wear
liners. We have great success maintaining quality and accuracy with the advantage of our unique Primecut
NE software. Drawings are simply loaded, checked and run. i.e. DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES & NC codes.

Complete processing prior to external path cutting increasing accuracy.
No need to pre-heat maintaining structural integrity surrounding holes.
Bevel cutting of weld preps saving on change out time.
Wide cutting envelope 18.4m x 3.4m

Suppliers to Advanced Profile must provide
evidence of their Quality Assurance.
Upon receiving deliveries of plate stock all
heat no’s are entered into our computer
system. A search is conducted of the suppliers
technical site to locate the corresponding test
certificate.
All stock retains its identity throughout
processing and remains on our system for
future reference.
A copy of each test certificate is placed with
our delivery note and sent with the goods
when requested.
Additional Ultrasonic Testing can be carried
out prior to despatch from the supplier or
once arrived in Advanced workshop.
Advanced Profile follow our own strict quality
assurance programme which is inline with
ISO-9001: 2008 and are about to enter the
next phase, engaging an independent
company to audit our Quality Assurance
system.

Vendor held stock: Advanced Profile maintain a full stock holding of both mild steel GR250, GR350 and
quenched and tempered plate, 80, 400, 450 & 500 in standard sheet sizes 8000mm x 2485mm.
Thickness range 6mm through to 100mm. Approximately 250 – 300 tonne on hand.
Standard lead time for production of 3 – 4 days means regular supply is never affected.
Once supply demand is presented a planned Delivery In Full On Time schedule will be realised.
Key suppliers are engaged to ensure plate stock demands are recognised.
Freight preparation will be in accordance with Advanced Profiles freight policy understanding custom
demands.
Wear Life Development.
At Advanced we provide guidance based on data collected from maintenance personnel.
Advanced Profile will develop a performance report for data entry, (change out intervals,
Tonnes, flow, etc.) Analysis is then undertaken by Advanced Profile with cooperation of our
suppliers technical department.
Data collection incl, material flow and consistency.
Condition monitoring,
Highlight any wear or breakage issues.
Current material used to manufacture liner.
3D Flow and consistency variation of transfer material.
Review data collected from site.
Improvements to material, metallurgy.
Alterations to design of liner, equipment or flow.
Make recommendations for improvement or trial.
Approval of recommendations.
Co-ordinate implementation of trial.
Set review timeline.
Monitor results.
Provide detailed report listing benefits or
recommendations to further improve trial.
Case Study – Hoisting Skips, maintenance delays.
Problem: Variations within the supply chain had caused many
alterations to the size of each liner meaning manual alterations in
situ. This was creating lengthy delays to the change out time for the
hoisting skips. Time estimated at 2 – 3 weeks.
Solution: Locate drawings and realign all the liners to suit
the original body design. Simplify liner designation with
unique numbering system to avoid confusion. With our
advanced software any liner can be called up from the data
base and produced within hours. Installation time has been
reduced to 2 days .
Further development: is progressing to standardise the
liners within the 5 hoisting skips i.e. Final small alterations
allowing for existing repairs in skip body.
Innovative cost saving.

A wear trial is currently underway
using existing Creusabro 8000 versus
Bisalloy QT 500.
The aim is to establish cost saving
benefits against wear life probability.
Results will be available after 1st quarter 2013.
