The low voltage system begins outside with a pad mounted 4,160V transformer that steps the voltage down to 208/120V. From the exterior transformer there is
an 800A feeder to the main distribution panel located in the basement. The distribution panel feeds panel boards located in the corridors on each floor. Behind
the main distribution panel, two panels are located without sufficient clearance.

The interior lighting is hard to tell whether there are compact fluorescent bulbs in the pendants, due to a completely enclosed fixture. Incandescent light bulbs
were observed in the basement and attic spaces. The lighting in the animal cage wing is 1x4, T-8 lensed troffers. These lights are on timeclocks for animal
research, though no animals are present in the building at this time. The greenhouses utilize metal halide fixtures.

The building is fed with 12 strands of single mode fiber and 100 copper pairs with each pair grounded and individually protected by a fuse/surge arrestor. Fiber
and copper originate from Node #1. The building IDF is located outside room 5 on the lower level. Fiber distributes radially from the building IDF to hub a room
(telecommunication room) to within 100 meters of end-use equipment and lands at rack mounted fiber switch(es) within the hub room.
There is one hub room, HA located in the building. It is located in room 5 on the lower level. A single rack is fed by overhead conduit and limited basket cable tray.
A dedicated technology ground bar is tied to the building grounding system. A small floor mounted UPS (APC SmartUPS 750) provides backup power to select
equipment. Cooling is provided by an EMIO wall mounted cooling unit.
Outlet standards typically have 1"C stubbed to cable management. Standard outlet consists of two network cables and two data jacks. Station cable consists of
Cat 6e (Mohawk Advancenet). The building is typically equipped with WIFI throughout (coverage not noted)

During our investigation we encountered a number of areas throughout the building that may contain asbestos floor tile or linoleum. The flooring in many areas
has exceeded its expected useful life and should be replaced. This flooring should be removed and replaced with UIUC approved floor covering (VCT). There were
several rooms where the tile was loose. Rooms 128, 124, & 120 were actually sealed off to prohibit entrance because the tile was loose and piled up on the floor.
