The District serves the southwest corner of Kenosha County approximately 22 miles west of Lake Michigan and is adjacent to the northeast corner of McHenry County, Illinois and within 1/2 mile of Lake County, Illinois. Primary Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, this administrative assistant position is responsible for providing direct daily support to the Director of Pupil Services and special education & pupil services staff within each of the four consortium schools. The administrative assistant position is essential in ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly operation of the Wilmot Pupil Services consortium central office. Qualifications: At minimum a high school diploma is required; Some experience having served as an administrative assistant preferred and experience in this capacity in a school or school district setting is highly desired; Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or Google platform; Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously; Ability to develop, nurture, and maintain relationships that promote respect and success for all; Ability to maintain confidentiality. Performance Responsibilities: Act as a liaison with each consortium school district’s administrative support staff and the consortium Pupil Services office. Assist Director of Pupil Services with communications between staff, parents, administrators, and other professionals. Assist Director of Pupil Services with tracking IDEA due process timeline and other special education requirements. Work independently and within a team on special ongoing and nonrecurring projects. Process submitted IEPs and review for accuracy and compliance. Assist special education staff with IEP forms and questions. Work closely with special education staff, district staff, and district administrators to accurately maintain student records and IEPs within the Skyward Special Education IEP and student management system. Notify special education case managers and Director of Pupil Services when IDEA documentation, data reports, are required special education actions are incomplete or untimely. Coordinate student transportation with various bus companies as district transportation offices. Assist with overall maintenance and daily functioning of the Pupil Services office.
