(the sides with the strips) facedown.
Turn the top card over so the picture side faces up. Put it on the
table near the stack of cards.
Take turns with your partner. When it is your turn, take the top card
from the stack. Turn it over and put it on the table. Try to match
this card with a picture-side-up card on the table. (If there are no
other picture-side-up cards on the table, turn over the next card on
the stack and put it on the table.)
Look for a match. If two cards match, take both of them. If there is a
match that you don’t see, the other player can take the matching cards.
If there is no match, your turn is over.
The game ends when each card has been matched with another
card. The player who took more cards wins the game.

1. Mix the Fraction Cards and put them in a stack with the picture sides
facedown.
2. Turn the top card over so the picture side faces up. Put it on the table
with the picture side faceup.
3. Players take turns. When it is your turn, take the top card from the
stack, but do not turn it over. Keep the picture side down. Try to
match the fraction on the card with one of the picture-side-up cards
on the table.
4. If you find a match, turn your card over. Check that your
match is correct by comparing the two pictures. If your match is
correct, take both cards.
If there is no match, place your card next to the other cards, picture
side faceup. Your turn is over. If the other player can find a match,
he or she can take the matching cards.

5. If there are no picture cards showing when Player 2 begins his or her
turn, take the top card from the stack. Place it on the table with
the picture side showing. Then Player 2 takes the next card in the
stack and doesn’t turn that card over.
