1.
Open a photograph image. Works well with headshots. (you could use yours…)
2.
Go to Image>Adjustments>Channel Mixer. Set the following; Red to 52, Green to 44, Blue
to 44 and check the Monochrome box. Click OK.
3.
Set your colors back to the default (Black foreground and White background) Go to
Filter>Sketch>Stamp. You may use the settings provided or adjust as needed. Leave as
much recognizable detail as possible. A variation on this theme would be to select a
foreground color other than black, but leave the background color as white.
4.
Double click the image layer and name it layer 0.
Add a new blank layer. Fill it with any color (other than black or white).
Move the image layer to the top of the layers and set the layer mode to Multiply.
5.
Click on the color layer. Select a contrasting color (not black or the color you filled the
background with). Using the paintbrush, paint within the confines (lines or edges) to create
the serigraph effect.
6.
Flatten the image or merge the layers.
7.
Open a new blank image and move the serigraph you created onto the new image. You will
need to make room for 4 total so you may have to adjust the size of the image you move.
8.
Repeat steps 1 through 6 and add 3 additional copies of the same starting image, but use
different colors. The is the Andy Warhol effect.
9.
Add a title.
Save final as a jpeg. Please use your name or initials in the saved name.
Put into the drop box.
