Ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper, my favourite part of our home was the kitchen. My parents had one of those huge Aga stoves that kept the whole house warm in the winter. I remember countless evenings with the whole family in the kitchen drinking hot chocolate and testing my mom’s scrumptious and culinary inventions. I suspect it was those early memories that made me come up with the idea for Mike’s Kitchen - warm, friendly restaurants where the whole family could come and enjoy great cooking in a relaxed informal atmosphere.
