Premium Factors for Specialised Resources
The following premium factors are applied to the relevant grades above where specialist
skills are requested. PNICC hold a full list of skills.

Grade 1 Mutual Aid is :- Emergency / Spontaneous, deployment 0-15 days. De-minimis
of 65 hours applies.
Grade 2 Mutual Aid is :- Spontaneous or Serious / Major Incident, deployment generally
16-90 days as a tour of duty or part of a tour.
Grade 3 Mutual Aid is :- Planned (requested at least 90 days in advance) and / or
prolonged (91 days or over), a tour of duty or part of a tour.
In all cases charges are based on hours worked plus travel. Officers may be required to
sleeping away from home, in which case overnight allowance and potentially hardship
allowance may be payable and will be met by the host force Shifts can be 8 hours or
more, dependent on rostering.
