APPLICATIONS
Adapts to a variety of cooking methods such as baked, boiled, deep fried, grilled, pan-fried, or sautéed. Suitable menu applications based on product
forms: (Shell-on): great for grilling, seafood boils, and seafood platters. (EZP): perfect for “peel-n-eat” shrimp entrees. (Peeled and Deveined): wonderful in tacos, pasta, and rice entrees. (Cooked): perfect for salads, shrimp cocktail, and wraps.
HANDLING/PREPARATION
THAWING: Best thawed overnight in refrigerator. For quick thaw, put desired amount in cool water for about 5
minutes, rinse, and drain. PREPARATION: Shrimp are easy to prepare and minimal cooking time is required.
For optimum flavor, boil or saute shrimp for approximately 4 minutes. Avoid over-cooking shrimp. Fully
cooked shrimp can be thawed and served or warmed with your favorite dish.
COOKING SUGGESTIONS
Boil: Add one teaspoon of salt and one quart of water for each pound of shrimp, and boil water. Add thawed
shrimp to boiling water. Remove from heat when water returns to boil. Drain, rinse, and chill promptly. Grill:
Season or marinate thawed shrimp. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side. Do not overcook.
Food Safety Guidelines recommend cooking seafood until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
