Third Party Notification - This program is available
to all residential customers and is especially beneficial
to the ill, elderly or disabled, as well as customers
who are out of town for extended periods of time.
It was designed to give notification to a third party
(any person or public agency) who is willing to
receive a copy of the customer's Disconnect Notice
bill. The third party would notify the customer that
prompt action is necessary to prevent discontinuance
of service. Notification does not obligate the third
party to pay the bill.
Conditions for Postponing Termination –
Termination of service for nonpayment of a bill will
be postponed when termination to a customer or
other permanent occupant would be especially
dangerous to health. Service will be continued until
the next regular billing if:
1. Southwest Gas receives a statement signed
by the customer stating that the customer is
unable to pay for service and is able to pay
for service only in installments which shall not
exceed ninety (90) days; or
2. A written statement from a licensed physician
or public health official is received by Southwest
Gas within five (5) days of first notification.
The written statement must contain:
1. The service address affected;
2. The name of the person whose health
would be endangered by termination;
3. A clear description of the nature of the
emergency; and
4. The name, title, and signature of the
person certifying the emergency.

Nonresidential Accounts - not to exceed two
times the estimated maximum monthly bill.
 a non-refundable reestablishment charge:
Reestablishment Charge - Southwest Gas
collects a service charge to cover operating and
clerical costs whenever service is reestablished
after termination for nonpayment of bills.
Requests for service are scheduled on a first-come,
first-served basis.
Disputed Bills - Should you believe you have been
billed incorrectly, please contact Southwest Gas at
our toll-free number 1-877-860-6020. Southwest
