Why do so many people choose to go to

This term the children will be looking at
The climate, food, culture, traditions, sports and entertainment of the Mediterranean.
Functions of different parts of plants, what different plants need to flourish, the journey of
water through a plant and the life cycle of a plant.

In Year 3 the children will take part in PSHE lessons frequently
throughout the week. We will discuss a range of topics throughout the
year and we will discuss issues that may arise during the week. Some of
these topics will include:

Looking after special people

Homework
Homework will be given out every week
on Friday and will be due in on
Wednesday.
Children will contain individual
homework books that they will need to
compete their homework in unless
instructed otherwise. These books
need to be handed in each week so new
homework can be given.
Children will be given individual
spelling cards at the start of the year,
these are to be learnt at home. When
the children have been tested and got
the spellings correct they will move on
to the next spelling card.
Reading
It is expected that children will read at
least three times a week. If the children
read three times a week they will
receive a gold coin at the end of the
week to put into their money boxes. If
the children read five times a week they
will get two coins.
Please sign the children's reading
diaries when they have read so it can be
changed regularly. It will be useful to
discuss with the children the book,
characters, what's happening, ask them
different questions about what has
happened in the book.
Reading regularly will help support
your child's learning in school.
