1. Who is in the story? Where does the story
take place? Write a sentence or two
describing the main character and where the
story takes place (e.g., George is a ten-yearold boy living in Quebec at the start of the
French and Indian War).
2. What is the main character trying to do or
what problem does the main character have?
Why does the main character want to achieve
this goal or solve this problem? Write a
sentence or two about the main character’s
goal or problem.
