The Ministry of Health has received a credit from the International Development Association
(IDA) toward the cost of the Ebola Emergency Response Project – Additional Funding and it
intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract Construction of
New Redemption Hospital. The Ministry of Health intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms
for construction of 160 bed capacity new Redemption Hospital in Caldwell, Monrovia,
Liberia. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in September 2017.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 2011 and Revised
July 2014, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the
prequalification document at the Ministry of Health (address below) from.09:00am to 16:00pm
A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be downloaded (in read only
form) from Ministry of Health website (www.moh.gov.lr) by interested Applicants (a) on the
submission of a written application to the address below.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the
address below or deposited in tender box situated on the first floor by June 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m
(GMT), and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for Construction of New
Redemption Hospital, MOH/EERP/ICB 1/2017”
