All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor. Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days: Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at Kennel Club licensed events. • When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. • If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. • The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. • Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. • When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade — take your own shade, for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. • Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK, FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. Not For Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered. N.B. Dogs must be at least 4 calendar months of age on the first day of the show. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the General Committee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible. All paper entries must be made on or before Monday 17th October 2016 upon forms enclosed for that purpose. Each exhibitor must fill in a separate form for each partnership, otherwise the entry may not be accepted. The entry fee for each dog will be as stated in the schedule. One dog can be entered in several classes if eligible, but full entrance fee must be paid for each class. The entrance fee must be forwarded to the Secretary with the Entry Form not later than Monday 17th October 2016 (Royal Mail Postmark). If an envelope containing entries bears more than one postmark, the latest date will be considered to be the date of posting. Entries delivered by hand to the Secretary’s address, either by an Exhibitor or his/her agent, must be handed in on or before the date stated for the closing of entries by postmark; i.e. before midnight on Monday 17th October 2016. If acknowledgement of paper entries is required, an addressed stamped card with “receipt” written on the reverse side should be enclosed. All dogs must be brought with a suitable strong chain and collar properly fastened on the dog. A dog entered in a wrong class is liable to be disqualified from the competition by the Kennel Club and the entrance fee forfeited. The entrance fee of a dog entered, but not sent to the Show will be forfeited. The Committee is empowered to exclude any dog which is not in a fit state for exhibition, from disease, vice, natural or other causes, and if such exclusion takes place, either before or after the dog is judged, the entrance fee will be forfeited. The Catalogue will contain the owners’ names in each breed in alphabetical order with their dogs in numerical order. Regulation F1.28. 35 The Committee and/or Officials will not be in any way responsible for any claim for injury or compensation occasioned by or arising out of the holding of the Show, or by reason of the act of default of any person in attendance or present thereat. 36 In the case of emergency, as to which the Committee shall be the sole judge, the Committee may, at its discretion, alter the place of holding the Show, either before or after the entries are received. In the case of such alteration, no exhibitor shall be entitled to the return of any entry money which may have been paid by him/her before receiving notice of the same. 37 Rules and Regulations, or definitions and instructions of the nature of Rules and Regulations, printed for convenience in other parts of this Schedule shall be deemed to be the regulations of the Committee and shall have the same effect as if they formed part of these Regulations. 38 An announcement prior to the date of closing of entries in “Our Dogs” or the “Dog World” of any alterations or additions made in the Schedule or in these Regulations shall be deemed to be sufficient notice thereof. 39 Committee the Sole Authority. The Committee shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of these Rules and of the Bye-Laws and Regulations made thereunder subject to the right of appeal to the Committee of the Kennel Club; and the decision of the Committee upon any question of interpretation or upon any matter affecting the Club or dog or Dog Shows and not provided for by these Rules or by the Constitution and Bye-Laws or any Regulation, shall be final and binding. A person attending or entering a dog for any show shall by such act be deemed to have agreed with the Committee to refer any such question or dispute to the Committee. 40 Dogs in the Ring. The Committee will not be responsible for exhibitors missing their classes. 41 The Committee can accept no responsibility for products advertised or sold at the Show and exhibitors are reminded of the Kennel Club Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition “F” (B). 42 Owing to the risk of fire NO straw or similar bedding will be provided or allowed for Exhibits.
