2016 POSTSEASON FACT SHEET

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
POSTSEASON SUMMARY
Ten teams, five from each league, qualify for postseason play.
In both the American and National League, the three division
winners will automatically qualify, and the two remaining
teams with the best winning percentage will earn the two Wild
Card spots. There are four rounds of play in the Major League
Baseball postseason.
Round 1: A one-game match-up between the two
Wild Card teams
Round 2: Two best-of-5 Division Series played in a
2-2-1 format, with the higher seeded teams
hosting games 1, 2, and 5* (* if necessary)
Round 3: A best-of-7 League Championship Series played
in a 2-3-2 format, with the higher seeded team
hosting games 1, 2, 6*, and 7* (*if necessary)
Round 4: A best-of-7 World Series played in a 2-3-2
format, with the American League team hosting
Games 1, 2, 6*, and 7* (* if necessary)
The Orioles could potentially host up to 11 postseason games
(either three in the Division series OR a Wild Card game + two
in the Division Series; four in the League Championship Series;
and four in the World Series).
All Season Plan Members are guaranteed access to postseason
tickets via our postseason package pre-sale offer. Specific
postseason package details are as follows:
• Full Season Plan Members can purchase a Gold Package
• 29-Game Plan Members can purchase a Silver Package
• 13-Game Plan Members can purchase a Bronze
Package. Bronze packages will be available for purchase
based on seniority.

POSTSEASON SEAT ASSIGNMENTS
AND PRICING
Current season plan locations cannot be guaranteed for
postseason seat locations. Best efforts are made to relocate
as few Full Season and 29-Game Season Plan Members as
possible when assigning seats for the postseason; however,
there are several seating demands that exist for the postseason
including commitments for Major League Baseball and its
partners. When relocations occur, best efforts are made to take
into consideration the location of your regular season seats.
Pricing varies for each postseason round and must be approved
by Major League Baseball. Your package price reflects your
exclusive season ticket discount, if applicable.
ONLINE PAYMENTS
You are encouraged to take advantage of the most
convenient way to pay for your postseason ticket packages
through your Orioles Account Manager available online at
www.orioles.com/myaccount.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
In order to purchase your postseason ticket package, payment
must be received no later than Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
After this date, the seat location on your account will no longer
be available, and the opportunity to purchase postseason ticket
packages will no longer be available.
Personal checks will not be accepted as payment for your
postseason ticket package.
ADDITIONAL POSTSEASON TICKET
PURCHASE OPPORTUNITIES
Single game postseason tickets will be made available to all
Season Plan Members prior to being released for sale to the
general public. Tickets will be made available on a round-byround basis. The first purchase opportunity will include the Wild
Card and ALDS games only. The second purchase opportunity
will include the ALCS games. The third purchase opportunity
will include the World Series. A date and time for these online
only ticket opportunities will be announced VIA EMAIL in mid
to late September.
All additional ticket opportunities are subject to availability
and will take place via online only sales. Full Season Plan
Members will be eligible to purchase additional tickets at the
discounted “Gold” pricing to all postseason home games. They
will be eligible to purchase up to the same number of seats
as they purchased in their 2016 season plan, capped at 8
tickets per game. 29-Game Plan Members will be eligible to
purchase additional tickets at the discounted “Silver” pricing to
the postseason home games that are not included in the Silver
Package. They will be able to purchase up to the same number
of seats as they purchased in their 2016 season plan, capped
at 8 tickets per game.
All Plan Members (including 13-Game Plan Members) will then
have a final purchase opportunity prior to tickets going on-sale
to the General Public. Plan Members will be able to purchase
up to 4 tickets to all postseason home games at the “Bronze”
pricing. Tickets for this pre-sale are subject to availability and
are expected to sell out.
In the event of a Season Plan Member purchasing multiple
season plan packages during the regular season, postseason
ticket allotments were based on the largest plan purchased.
PARKING
Full Season and 29-Game Plan Members that purchased
a 2016 regular season parking plan will have the option to
purchase postseason parking corresponding to their postseason
package. Best efforts are made to relocate as few parking
assignments as possible; however, there are several parking
demands that exist for the postseason including commitments
for MLB and its partners. A limited number of parking passes
will be made available to 13-Game Plan Members based on
seniority.
DELIVERY METHOD
Tickets will be shipped to the address listed on the season
ticket account with NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. We strongly
suggest that your tickets are NOT sent to a P.O. Box. Due to the
very short delivery window, it is imperative that you confirm
your accurate address information is on your account.
Postseason ticket packages cannot be picked up at the Orioles
offices. Having them shipped via FedEx is the only delivery
option available.
WILL CALL DROP-OFFS NOT ACCEPTED
Will Call drop-offs cannot be accepted for the postseason.
If you are transferring tickets to a third party, please make
delivery arrangements in advance or use your My Orioles
Tickets account online at www.orioles.com/myaccount to
forward the tickets electronically.
TICKET FORWARDS
You can forward your postseason tickets through your online
My Orioles Tickets account once you have paid your invoice
and tickets have been mailed (week of September 26). Please
remember, once you choose to forward a ticket, the original
ticket is no longer valid. Tickets may be forwarded until 2 hours
prior to game time.
CHECK YOUR TICKETS
Please make sure to double-check your tickets before you leave
for the game. You will need to have the correct numbered
ticket that corresponds to the scheduled home game for the
appropriate series. Please take extra care to examine your
tickets as series names and logos may appear similar. Fans
arriving without the correct tickets will not be admitted.
Tickets cannot be reprinted or replaced.
LOST OR STOLEN TICKETS
Please take all necessary precautions and safeguard your
tickets. Handle them in the same way you would handle cash.
There are no complimentary tickets for postseason games.
Lost tickets cannot be reprinted or replaced. A police report is
required to replace stolen tickets. If tickets are stolen, the Season
Plan Member listed on the season ticket account may have the
tickets reprinted provided a police report is filed to replace the
stolen tickets.
CREDITS/REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
Should any game(s) not be played, any postseason
payments for those games will be applied toward your 2017
season tickets. Once postseason tickets are mailed (week
of September 26), handling fees will be non-refundable.
Should you select the “Pay in Full” Payment Option and wish
to have a refund for any postseason games not played, the
Orioles must receive your request in writing no later than
Friday, November 18, 2016.
If you selected the Pay in Full Option, refund requests should
be submitted to Baltimore Orioles, ATTN: Postseason Refund,
333 West Camden Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Credit
card charges will be refunded to the card used to pay for the
postseason ticket packages. If you paid by cashier’s check,
certified check, money order or cash, a refund check will be
issued to the Account Holder of Record listed on the season
ticket account, typically within 6-8 weeks. Tickets from games
not played do not need to be returned. Please keep them as
souvenirs.
Postseason tickets cannot be exchanged.
