Rate Center Consolidations
2005 to the present1
2017
 July 11, 2017, the LEE rate center will be consolidated under the CHERRYLAKE rate center, the BAKER
rate center will be consolidated under the CRESTVIEW rate center, the VALPARAISO rate center will be
consolidated under the DESTIN rate center and the ALFORD, GRANDRIDGE & MALONE rate centers will
be consolidated under the GREENWOOD rate center in the Florida 850 NPA.
 March 8, 2017, the BELEN, BERNALILLO, ESTANCIA, LAGUNAACOM, LOS LUNAS, MORIARTY,
MOUNTAINAR, PENABLANCA, and TIJERAS rate centers were consolidated under the Albuquerque Rate
center in the New Mexico 505 NPA.
2016
 October 15, 2016, the NCAPECORAL & NOFT MYERS rate centers were consolidated under the CAPE
CORAL rate center and the PINEISLAND rate center was consolidated under SNCPVISNDS rate center
(Florida 239 NPA); the HOMOSSSSPG was consolidated under INVERNESS rate center (Florida 352 NPA);
the PANACEA rate center was consolidated under ST MARKS rate center (Florida 850 NPA); the
SOPCHOPPY rate center was consolidated under CRAWFORDVL rate center (Florida 850 NPA); and the
SPRINGLAKE rate center was consolidated under LAKEPLACID rate center (Florida 863 NPA).
 March 1, 2016, the YORK rate center was consolidated under the LEEDS rate center in the North Dakota
701 NPA.
2015
 November 12, 2015, the Aurora and Sullivan (DENVERSLVN) rate centers were consolidated into the
Denver Rate Center in the Colorado 303/720 NPAs.
 April 20, 2015, the BON SECOUR, ELBERTA, FORTMORGAN, GULFSHORES, LILLIAN, LOXLEY,
MAGNOLISPG, ORANGE BCH, ROBERTSDL, SEMINOLE, and SUMMERDALE rate centers were
consolidated under the FOLEY rate center in Alabama 251 NPA.
2014
 September 5, 2014, the Altoona, Ankeny, Carlisle, Grimes, Norwalk and Waukee rate centers were
consolidated under the Des Moines rate center in the Iowa 515 NPA.
 June 1, 2014, the Ellensburg, Kittitas, Lauderdale, Thorp and Vantage rate centers were consolidated under
the Ellensburg rate center in the Washington 509 area code. In addition, the Yelm and Rainier rate centers
were consolidated under the Rainier rate center in the Washington 360 NPA.
 February 18, 2014, the OSSEO rate center was consolidated under the TWINCITIES rate center in the
Minnesota 763 NPA.
2013
 June 15, 2013, the Nebraska Public Service Commission ordered the re-established of the ARTHUR,
DUNNING and BREWSTER rate centers in the 308 NPA.
 April 8, 2013, the New Market, Prior Lake, and Webster rate centers were consolidated under the
TWINCITIES rate center in the Minnesota NPA 952.
 April 1, 2013, the Chaska rate center was consolidated under the TWINCITIES rate center in the Minnesota
952 NPA.

February 15, 2013, the FOX ISLAND rate center was consolidated under the GIG HARBOR rate center in
the Washington 253 NPA.
2012
 September 29, 2012, the BIXBYNORTH rate center was consolidated under the BIXBY rate center in
Oklahoma’s 918/539 overlay complex.
 June 15, 2012, the HUNTERS, WINTHORP, ELTOPIA, BASIN CITY, MESA and KAHLOTUS ceased to
exist and were incorporated into several existing rate centers described in the Commission order.
2011

2010
 November 16, 2010, the HOLLADAY, MAGNA and KEARNS rate centers in the Utah 385 NPA were
consolidated under the existing MIDVALE rate center.
 November 16, 2010, the COLMAN rate center in South Dakota 605 NPA was consolidated under the
existing FLANDREAU rate center. Also on this date, the MORRISTOWN rate center was consolidated
under the existing MCINTOSH rate center.
 October 13, 2012, the ARLETTA and LAKEBAY rate centers in the Washington were consolidated under
the existing FOX ISLAND rate center in the Washington 253 NPA.
 September 28, 2010, the LEAD, DEADWOOD, and WHITEWOOD rate centers in the South Dakota 605
NPA were consolidated under the existing SPEARFISH rate center.
 June 15, 2010, the following rate center consolidations took place in Nebraska 308 NPA: The HYANNIS,
ARTHUR, ASHBY, BINGHAM, and WHITMAN rate centers were consolidated under the HYANNIS rate
center. The MERNA and ANSELMO rate centers were consolidated under the MERNA rate center. The
THEDFORD, BREWSTER, BROWNLEE, DUNNING, HALSEY, PURDUM, and SENECA rate centers
were consolidated under the THEDFORD rate center.
2009
 August 15, 2009, all central office codes in the New York City Zone 2 were consolidated under the New
York City Zone 1. In addition, those central office codes in the 212 and 646 NPAs associated with New York
City Zone 3 were moved to New York City Zone 1. Finally, 917-507, 917-521 and 917-529 were moved
from Zone 3 to Zone 1. The remainder of the 917 central office codes currently assigned to Zone 3 remained
in Zone 3.
 July 20, 2009, the HYRAM, LOGAN, RICMOND and SMITHFIELD rate centers were consolidated into a
single LOGAN SPRINGS rate center in Utah 435 NPA.
 June 20, 2009, the following rate center consolidation took place in the Texas 512 NPA: the DALE rate
center and LYTTON SPG rate center were consolidated under the DALE/LTNSP rate center.
2008
 November 12, 2008, the ALMELUND rate center in the Minnesota NPA 651, the APPLE VALLEY rate
center in NPAs 651 and 952, the BELLE PLAINE + JORDAN rate center in Minnesota NPA 952, the
MOUND rate center in the Minnesota NPAs 763 and 952 and the WYOMING rate center in the Minnesota
NPA 651 were consolidated into the Minnesota TWINCITIES center.
 May 1, 2008, the following rate centers in Arkansas 870 NPA were consolidated: GARLAND rate center
was consolidated with the TRIGG rate center and 870-683 GARLAND became 870-683 TRIGG.
 May 1, 2008, the following rate centers in Arkansas 870 NPA were consolidated: DODDRIDGE rate center
was consolidated with the FOUKE rate center and 870-691 DODDRIDGE will become 870-691 FOUKE.

2007
 July 29, 2007, per the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC), a rate center consolidation and NPA
boundary realignment for the 504 and 985 area codes in Louisiana was implemented. See NANPA Planning
Letter 360.
 April 26, 2007, the HURRICANE and SPRINGDALE rate centers in the Utah 435 NPA were consolidated
under the ST GEORGE rate center.
 March 20, 2007, the DOOLE rate center in the Texas 325 NPA was changed to the DOOLEMLSVW
(DOOLE/MILLERSVIEW) rate center. The only affected central office code was 325-483.
2006
 November 6, 2006, the ATHOLFKLN rate center was added to the Massachusetts 978 NPA and the
AMHRSTFKLN rate center was added to the Massachusetts 413 NPA.
 July 20, 2006, the GRETNA, ELKORN, and OMAHA rate centers in the Nebraska 402 NPA were
consolidated under OMAHA rate center.
 July 15, 2006, the POINCIANA rate center was added to the Florida 863 NPA.
 June 4, 2006, the JULINGTON and STAUGUSTIN rate centers were consolidated under ST JOHNS Rate
center in the Florida 904 NPA.
 March 1, 2006, the ARLINGON, GRANITEFLS and DARRINGTON rate centers were consolidated under
MARYSVILLE. The ANACORTES and SEDROWOLLY rate centers were consolidated uner the MT
VERNON rate center in the Washington 360 NPA.
2005
 March 1, 2005, the TOPPENISH and ZILLAH rate centers were consolidated into the TOPPENISH rate
center; the MABTON and BICKLETON rate centers were consolidated into the MABTON rate center; the
BRINNON and QUILCEN rate centers were consolidated into the HOODCANAL rate center; and the
GARDINER and PT ANGELES rate centers were consolidated into the PT ANGELES rate center in the
Washington 360 NPA.
 March 1, 2005, the DALLESPORT and WISHRAM rate centers were consolidated into the DALLESPORT
rate center in the Washington 509 NPA.
