LIBROS December 2012 Program STAR BOX with Dale Harris This easy-to-make, five-sided pyramid box is constructed with book board covered with decorative papers and closes with ribbons and a bead. Created by Canadian book artist Trisha Klus, as seen in the May 2012 issue of Bound & Lettered Magazine, the design is both whimsical and elegant. Hang it on your Christmas tree or display it on your mantle with a small, surprise treasure inside. Materials & Tools to bring: • 8 ½” x 11” piece of mat board - I will bring some sets already cut • two 8 ½” x 11” pieces of decorative paper – for inside and outside of star box, same or contrasting • ¾ inch bead with ¼” hole – I will bring a bag of wooden beads to share in this size • five 9” lengths of 1/8” ribbon – coordinate with decorative papers • five small bulldog clips or clothespins • white glue and glue stick – I use glue stick for all the gluing, no need to put under weights • scissors • craft knife • cutting mat
