The relaxed tropical setting featuring the most iconic golf course in
Tropical North Queensland, a championship 18 hole course, ranked
as one of Australia’s best and most challenging.
Offering a combination of sweeping fairways, creeks and lakes, narrow
undulating greens and 72 bunkers. With no shared fairways, from every tee
the golfer is presented with a truly spectacular and demanding layout. Golf
carts with state of the art GPS will assist every golfer in making the correct
club selection.
Designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson and opened in 1990, the par
71 course measures 6,331metres off the championship tees (with four tee
spots on offer) and its AGU rating of 75 offers the first clue as to the scale of
the challenge that awaits the keen golfer.
Paradise Palms grand clubhouse, lush rainforest backdrop, 4.5 star resort,
various leisure activities, multiuse spaces for social events and conferences,
and quality restaurant and bar provide a complete destination for locals and
visitors to enjoy.

Available Days:
•
Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays are the preferred days for corporate groups. We welcome groups on Tuesdays and
Thursdays, but times may be restricted due to competitions. Weekends are generally not available.
Availability of Tees and Time of Day:
•
The 1st, 10th or both tees are generally available - depending on the number of players. A shotgun start can be arranged
dependent on course availability.
•
It is recommended for a morning tee time a breakfast could be served followed by lunch at the completion of your round.
•
For an afternoon time tee - a light lunch followed by dinner is recommended.
•
There are many options available – please check further on in this document. Alternatively, we can tailor an event to suit your
needs
Format:
•
The Golf Professional will be pleased to advise on your game format – it is recommended to use Stableford, Best Ball or
Ambrose.
Deposit & Booking Confirmation:
•
Golf Tees Times will only be held tentatively for seven (7) days from the date Paradise Palms accepts your booking.
Confirmation of your booking is required in writing to Paradise Palms within 48 hours, and a non-refundable deposit payment
of $1000.00 made within seven (7) days of making your booking.
Final Numbers:
•
The guaranteed number of guests attending the event is required seven (7) business days prior to the event for catering and
billing purposes. If numbers reduce after payment has been made, refunds are not applicable. Should a guaranteed number
not be received, the attendance indicated on the Event Confirmation Document will be taken as final and all charges and
information that appears on the Event Confirmation Document will be deemed as correct and accurate and will for the bases
as the overall charges for the event.
Payment:
•
Payment can be made by Cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card. Visa, MasterCard and Union Pay are accepted and are subject to a
1.5% merchant fee.
•
A surcharge of 10% applies for Sundays and Public Holidays
Signage:
•
Please consult the Events Co-Ordinator for details of acceptable signage. A charge may apply for excessive signage.
Signage can only be erected by Paradise Palms ground staff and must be delivered to the Club the day prior to the event.
Menus:
•
Choice of menu is required 7 days prior to the event. Advice on dietary requirements is required at the same time.
•
No food of any description is permitted to be brought onto the premises.
Post Golf Presentation:
•
Prize/Presentation table is provided on the Garden Terrace along with a portable microphone and PA system
DRESS CODE:
All members and visitors to Paradise Palms are advised that we adhere to strict dress regulations, for both the Clubhouse and the Course

• Collared Shirts; Tailored Pants or Shorts
• Flat Soled Shoes, Joggers or Soft Spike Golf Shoes (socks must be worn)
Unacceptable:

Denim shorts; Sporting jerseys or t-shirts;

Drawstring shorts or pants; Tracksuit pants

Board shorts or singlets
Clubhouse
Acceptable
• Clean and tidy clothing, work wear and denim
Unacceptable
• Offensive clothing ; Singlets ; Swimwear
• Clothing and footwear must be worn in the clubhouse at all times.
SMOKING
•
The entire Clubhouse is smoke free – there are designated smoking areas available – please ask one of our friendly team
ALCOHOL
•
Under Queensland Liquor Licencing laws - no beverages of any kind are permitted to be brought onto the premises. No person under the age of 18
will be served alcohol.
INSURANCE
•
Although Paradise Palms takes all care with the security and protection of property and guests, we are unable to accept any responsibility for
damage or loss of property left in the Venue prior, during or after an event, as the case may be. We recommend patrons arrange their own
insurance.
COMPLIANCE
•
The customer will endeavour to ensure that their guests comply with these terms and conditions.
