HIGHWAY SAFETY ROAD MAP 1
Topics, References, Resources & Guidance
The following is a comprehensive compilation of highway safety topics, references, resources and
guidance with hyperlinks to public Internet web sites for detailed information. This “Highway Safety
Road Map” is intended to be a “living document” for general guidance, reference, discussion and
monitoring to assist and encourage the development, implementation and evaluation of Connecticut’s
Strategic Highway Safety Plan. The expected outcomes include the planning and construction of
highway safety improvements under the Federal-aid highway program, the setting and enforcement of
safety performance standards under the State’s annual Highway Safety Plan, and the implementation of
the State’s annual Commercial Vehicle Safety Plan under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Assistance
Program.
