MATH:
We will be reviewing the first unit. (textbook pages 73-85)
We will continue the unit on multiplication and then begin division. (textbook
pages 74-87)
PHONICS: We will begin a unit on vowel pairs.
READING: Our story this week, “Inside Out”, will help develop comprehension skills. We
will also review cause and effect. (textbook pages 146-157)
ENGLISH: We will conclude a unit on nouns. (textbook pages 74-83)
SPELLING: Our spelling words this week (found in the Friday folder) are words containing th,
sh, ch,and ph. In addition to knowing the spelling, it is important to know the
meanings of the words.
SOC. STUD: We will study the discovery of the New World. (newspaper)
SCIENCE:
We will continue our study of astronomy, the moon, planets, and our solar
system.
